Ice Nice - or Ice Queen, like Emanuelle suggested. I love it, and somehow, while I think you'll look very cute in it, it immediately made me think of the riding a sleigh drawn by wolves in Narnia. I love the neckline.

Knitted jumper in 1 strand DROPS Fabel and 1 strand DROPS Wish or 1 strand DROPS Snow. Piece is knitted bottom up in stocking stitch. Size: S - XXXL
DROPS 236-21 |
||||
---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work front and back piece separately back and forth on circular needle. Work from bottom up. Work sleeve back and forth on circular needle, bottom up. Sew piece together and work a neck edge in the round on circular needle. BACK PIECE: Cast on 50-54-58-62-66-72 stitches with 1 strand DROPS Wish or DROPS Snow and 1 strand DROPS Fabel (2 strands) on a circular needle size 7 mm. Work rib (knit 1/purl 1) for 8 cm. Switch to circular needle size 9 mm and work in stocking stitch. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 33-34-35-36-36-37 cm, cast off for armholes in each side, cast off 1-2-3-3-4-6 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. There are 48-50-52-56-58-60 stitches on needle. Work until piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm. On next row from right side, cast off the middle 18-18-20-20-22-22 stitches for neck, and finish each shoulder separately. There are 15-16-16-18-18-19 stitches on each shoulder. Continue in stocking stitch and cast off 1 stitch on first row from the neck. There are 14-15-15-17-17-18 stitches on needle. Cast off when piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm from cast-on edge. FRONT PIECE: Cast on the same number of stitches and work the same way as back piece until piece measures 43-44-45-46-47-48 cm. On next row from right side, cast off the middle 12-12-14-14-16-16 stitches for neck, and finish each shoulder separately. There are 18-19-19-21-21-22 stitches on each shoulder. Do not cut the yarns, now work right shoulder from here. RIGHT SHOULDER FRONT PIECE: Continue in stocking stitch and begin from wrong side, and cast off for neck at the beginning of the next rows from right side as follows: Cast off 2 stitches 1 time, and cast off 1 stitch 2 times = 14-15-15-17-17-18 stitches. Then work in stocking stitch and cast off when piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm from cast-on edge. LEFT SHOULDER FRONT PIECE: Continue in stocking stitch and begin from right side, and cast off for neck at the beginning of the next rows from wrong side as follows: Cast off 2 stitches 1 time, and cast off 1 stitch 2 times = 14-15-15-17-17-18 stitches. Then work in stocking stitch and cast off when piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm from cast-on edge. SLEEVE: Cast on 34-36-38-38-40-40 stitches on circular needle size 7 mm with 1 strand in each quality. Work back and forth in rib (knit 1/purl 1) until piece measures 16 cm. Switch circular needle size 9 mm, and work in stocking stitch. When piece measures 20 cm, increase 1 stitch in each side by making 1 yarn over inside 1 stitch in each side. Purl yarn over twisted on next round to avoid holes. Increase like this approx. every 5 cm 0-0-0-1-2-3 times in total = 34-36-38-40-44-46 stitches. Work until piece measures 50-50-50-49-49-49 cm from cast-on edge and cast off by knitting from right side. Insert 1 marker in each side of sleeve approx. 1-2-3-3-4-6 cm down from cast-off edge - this marker is used when sewing sleeves to front piece and back piece. Knit another sleeve the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Fasten sleeve to front piece and back piece inside where cast off for armholes are. Sew sleeve together from cast-on edge and up to marker on sleeve - sew in outer loop of edge stitch. Sew the last cm from marker and up to cast-off where stitches were cast off for front piece/back piece - see chart. Sew side seams - sew in outer loops of edge stitches. NECK: Begin at the seam on the shoulder. Use a short circular needle size 7 mm, and pick up approx. 56 to 72 stitches around the entire neck (number of stitches must be divisible 2). Work rib (knit 1/purl 1) in the round for approx. 18 cm or desired length. Fold the neck in and fasten it with a stitch at each shoulder seam. |
