Muts is erg klein.

Runde aufnehmen. Ein Viereck stricken, dabei aber in der 1. R wieder 4 M abnehmen = 23 M. Wir brauchen aber 25

DOMINO SQUARE: Work each square back and forth on 2 double pointed needles, K all rows (= garter st). Insert a marker in the middle st, move the marker upward when working. Row 1 (= from WS): K all sts. Row 2 (= from RS): K until 1 st remains before st with marker, slip 1 st as if to K, K 2 tog, psso, K rest of row. Repeat 1st and 2nd row, i.e. dec 2 sts in the middle of square every other row until 1 st remains (= st with marker). ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT: First work rib at the bottom, then work 3 rows with Domino square, finish in garter st at the top of hat. Finally sew the hat tog mid back except for the rib which is worked in the round. RIB: Cast on 122 sts with Delight on circular needle size 2.5 mm. Work rib = K 1/P 1 in the round for 3 cm. Then K 1 round while at the same time dec 10 sts evenly = 112 sts, then P 1 round. Continue with Domino squares. DOMINO SQUARES: Worked back and forth on 2 double pointed needles size 3 mm. ROW 1: 1ST SQUARE: Cast on 15 sts on 1 double pointed needle size 3 mm and then work the first 14 sts in rib from circular needle on to needle (K the sts) = 29 sts. Work DOMINO SQUARE - see explanation above. 2ND SQUARE: When 1 st remains on 1st square, continue as follows: Keep the one st and knit up 14 sts from RS down the left side of domino square (i.e. knit up 1 st in every ridge (1 ridge = 2 rows K)), then work the next 14 sts in rib from circular needle on to needle = 29 sts in total, insert a marker in the middle st and work another domino square. Work as 2nd square until there are 8 domino squares on row (all sts from circular needle have been worked on to needle), cut the thread. ROW 2: 1ST SQUARE: Cast on 15 sts, then knit up 14 sts along the top of 1st square on 1st row (i.e. 1 st in every ridge) = 29 sts. Work Domino square - but at the same time on 1st row dec 4 sts evenly (i.e. 2 sts on each side of marker) = 25 sts. 2ND SQUARE: Keep the one st from 1st square on needle, knit up 12 sts down along left side on 1st square (insert a marker in the last of the 12 sts = middle st) and then knit up 14 sts at the top along 2nd square on 1st row. Work Domino square - but on 1st row dec 2 sts evenly before marker = 25 sts. Work as 2nd square until there are 8 domino squares on row, cut the thread. ROW 3: 1ST SQUARE: Cast on 11 sts (insert a marker in the last of the 11 sts = middle st), then knit up 12 sts along the top of 1st square on 2nd row (i.e. 1 st in every ridge) = 23 sts. Work Domino square - but at the same time on 1st row dec 2 sts evenly before marker = 21 sts. 2ND SQUARE: Keep the one st from 1st square on needle, knit up 10 sts down along left side on 1st square (insert a marker in the last of the 10 sts = middle st) and then knit up 12 sts at the top along 2nd square on 2nd row. Work Domino square - but on 1st row dec 2 sts evenly before marker = 21 sts. Work as 2nd square until there are 8 domino squares on row, cut the thread. The piece now measures approx. 18 cm vertically. Then knit up (from RS) 80 sts on circular needle size 3 mm at the top along the last row with domino squares that was worked (i.e. 10 sts over each square). Insert a marker at beg of row and then a marker between all the squares (= 8 markers). K back and forth on all rows (= garter st). AT THE SAME TIME on 4th row, dec 1 st after every marker by K 2 tog. Repeat dec every 4 rows 2 more times and then every other row 4 times = 24 sts remain on needle. Work 1 round where all sts are K tog 2 by 2 = 12 sts. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts and tighten tog. ASSEMBLY: Sew hat tog mid back edge to edge in front loop of outermost st to avoid a chunky seam. The hat measures approx. 22-23 cm vertically. |
