Schulter jetzt stricken. Viel Spaß beim stricken!

Thank you for your prompt reply! In terms of quantity, if the pattern requires 550g of one yarn and 150g of the other, will I need 700g of a group C yarn?
02.11.2019 - 22:16DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Patrick, this pattern is worked here with 1 yarn group B + 1 yarn group A, you can find here some yarn ideas with this tension - and read more about alternatives here, Please do not hesitate to contact your DROPS store for any assistance choosing an alternative. Happy knitting!

Hi, I would like to knit this pattern with only one yarn. I can't figure out how to use the yarn converter to work this out. Could you let me know please which yarns would be suitable? Thank you!
02.11.2019 - 20:56DROPS Design answered:
Hello Diana! You can use yarns from yarn group C, but make sure you get knitting tension 15 sts x 19 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm. Happy knitting!

I adore this pattern. Have actually knit it twice before and getting ready to make it up in maroon coloring. I have had several people stop me in stores or on the street to ask where I got it. They are so disappointed when I happily say "I made it". Oh, and I am a little on the chunky side and this style is really flattering.

I don't understand the sizing for this pattern. How can a 47" bust measurement be categorised as small?
16.05.2016 - 08:44DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Detton, it's a very loose fitting garment, you can check the measurement chart at the bottom of the page, remembering that they're in cm. Happy knitting!

30.08.2013 - 20:29DROPS Design answered:
Hej Mille. Det er fordi der er flere meter per 50 gr i den ene garn i forhold til det andet: 50 gr Lima = ca 92 m og 50 gr Kid-Silk = ca 400 m. Vil du bruge alternativt garn kan du regne det ud med brug af denne laengde. dvs, Lima bruger du 550 gr = 11 nögler a 92 m = 920 m og Kid Silk bruger du 5 nögler a 200 m (Kid-Silk er 25 gr nögler) = 1000 m. God fornöjelse.

GARTER ST: K all rows. PATTERN: See textured pattern in diagram M.1 (the diagram shows the pattern from RS) SHORT ROWS ALONG FRONT BAND: To make the sts in garter st on front band and pattern on body the same length vertically, work short rows in each side of piece on every 7th and 8th row as follows: 7th row (= RS): 18 sts in garter st (= band sts), turn piece. Next row (= WS): 18 sts in garter st (= band sts), turn piece. On next row (= RS) work all sts. 8th row (= WS): 18 sts in garter st (= band sts), turn piece. Next row (= RS): 18 sts in garter st (= band sts), turn piece. On next row (= WS) work all sts. Continue with short rows on every 7th and 8th row up to where collar beg. -------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 194-206-218-230-246-258 sts on circular needle size 6 mm with 1 thread Lima and 1 thread Kid-Silk. Work in garter st - Read explanation above - for 2 cm. Work next row from RS as follows: 18-18-18-20-20-20 sts in garter st (= band), work diagram M.1 until 20-20-20-22-22-22 sts remain, work the first 2 sts in diagram M.1, finish with 18-18-18-20-20-20 sts in garter st (= band). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue to work diagram M.1 between band sts in each side of piece and short rows - Read explanation above. When diagram M.1 has been worked 5 times vertically (= approx. 10 cm textured pattern), continue in stocking st between band sts in each side for 10 cm. Work 10 cm textured pattern and 10 cm in stocking st alternately until finished measurements. When piece measures 44-45-46-47-48-49 cm, insert 2 markers in the piece; 52-55-58-61-65-68 sts (= front piece) in from each side of piece. Now divide the piece at the markers and finish each part separately. BACK PIECE: = 90-96-102-108-116-122 sts. Work 10 cm textured pattern and 10 cm in stocking st alternately until piece measures 66-68-70-72-74-76 cm. On next row, cast off the middle 20-20-20-24-24-24 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Cast off 1 st on next row from neck = 34-37-40-41-45-48 sts remain on shoulder. Loosely cast off all sts when piece measures 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: = 52-55-58-61-65-68 sts. Work next row from RS as follows: 18-18-18-20-20-20 sts in garter st, continue with diagram M.1/stocking st and finish with 1 edge st in garter st. Work 10 cm textured pattern and 10 cm in stocking st alternately with band sts in the side. NOTE: Continue with short rows until collar beg. When piece measures 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm, cast off from WS the first 34-37-40-41-45-48 sts on needle = 18-18-18-20-20-20 sts remain for collar. Continue in garter st over these sts until collar measures 10-10-10-12-12-12 cm (measured from the shoulder). Then cast off as follows: Cast off the 6 first sts at the beg of the next 2 rows from WS = 6-6-6-8-8-8 sts remain, loosely cast off all sts on next row from WS. LEFT FRONT PIECE: Work as right front piece but reversed. SLEEVE: Worked back and forth on circular needle size 6 mm with 1 thread Lima and 1 thread Kid-Silk. Cast on 74-76-80-82-86-88 sts (includes 1 edge st in garter st in each side) and work in garter st for 2 cm. Then continue to work in stocking st with 1 edge st in garter st in each side. When piece measures 16-15-14-13-12-11 cm (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of broader shoulder width), loosely cast off all sts. Knit another sleeve. BELT (optional): Cast on 11-11-11-13-13-13 sts on double pointed needles size 5 mm with 1 thread Lima and 1 thread Kid-Silk and work rib as follows: K 1, * P 1, K 1 *, repeat from *-*. Work rib like this for 180-180-190-190-200-210 cm, cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams tog. Sew sleeves tog inside 1 edge st and sew in sleeves. Sew collar tog mid back (WS against WS) and fasten it from front of neck around to back of neck. |
