Was bedeutet das bitte: Nach 101 (111) cm, bei jeder 2. R. gegen den Hals abk.: 3 (4) M. x 1, 2 M. x 1, 1 M. x 2. Vielen Dank!

Now puddel is discontinued if this was made in an alternative yarn how would I estimate the quantity needed, in say cloud or andes, since they have different length per gram ratios. Cloud is almost twice the length of andes, if that makes my confusion any clearer? TIA.

The instructions say to cast on with double yarn but drop to single yarn when working the rows. Should I use each yarn loop as a stitch or should I use 2 yarn loops for one stitch in that first row?
13.01.2014 - 07:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Nancy, you cast on all sts with 2 strands of yarn but then continue with only 1 strand working all sts (not each loop/yarn from cast-on row), ie you keep the 78-90 sts (back piece - see size) all the way. Happy knitting!

Gauge: 8 sts in stockinette st = 10 cm Garter Stitch, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Garter Stitch, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl *. Repeat from * - *. Back: Cast on 78 (90) sts with double strands of yarn. Change to single-strand yarn. Knit 4 rows garter st, then change to stockinette st, keeping 3 sts in garter st at each side. When the work measures 95 (105) cm (this is where the armhole starts) inc 1 st on each side (= edge st), and knit all sts in stockinette st from this point. When the work measures 115 (125) cm bind off loosely (you may want to bind off with double yarn). Because of the long split the back is knit 5 cm longer than the front - the length will even out when the garment is worn. Left Front: Cast on 39 (45) sts with double yarn. Change to single-strand yarn. Knit 4 rows garter st, then change to stockinette st, keeping 3 sts at the side and the 6 sts at the center front edge in garter st. When the work measures 90 (100) cm (this is where the armhole starts) inc 1 st at the side (= edge st). Knit stockinette st over all sts, but continue to knit 6 sts at the center front in garter st. When the work measures 101 (111) cm bind off for the neck every other row: 3 (4) sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2 times. When the work measures 110 (120) cm bind off loosely (you may want to bind off with double yarn). Because of the long split the front is knit 5 cm shorter than the back - the length will even out when the garment is worn. Right Front: Knit like the left but reverse all shaping. Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx. 34-40 sts around the neck and knit stockinette st back and forth on the needles, keeping the 6 sts on each side at the center front in garter st throughout. When the neck measures 9 cm knit 2 rows garter st over all sts, then bind off with double yarn. Sleeve: Pick up approx. 30 (30) sts around the armhole inside the edge sts. Join and knit stockinette st until the sleeve measures 20 cm, then knit 4 rows garter st, bind off with double yarn. Sew together the split for 5 cm under the sleeve. |
