Knitted DROPS neck warmer and hat in moss st in ”Snow”.
DROPS 140-43 |
|
MOSS ST: Row 1: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from *-* and finish with K 1. 2nd row: K over P and P over K. Repeat 2nd row. ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 47-51 sts on needle size 8 mm with red Snow. Row 1 = WS: Switch to black/grey/white and K 1 row, then work in MOSS ST - see explanation above - until piece measures approx. 12-14 cm. Finish with 1 row from WS. Then continue in stocking st until finished measurements. When piece measures 22-24 cm, insert 6 markers in the piece from RS. Insert first marker after 5-5 sts, then insert the markers 8-9 sts apart, and 1-2 sts after last marker AT THE SAME TIME on every row from RS, dec 1 st on the right side of every marker by K 2 tog (= 6 dec). Repeat dec a total of 5 times = 17-21 sts. Piece measures approx. 27-29 cm. On next row from RS, work all sts tog 2 by 2 = 9-11 sts. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Sew hat tog in front loop of outermost st to avoid a chunky seam. NECK WARMER: Cast on 57 sts on circular needle size 8 mm with black/grey/white. Work in the round on needle in MOSS ST - see explanation above! REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue like this until piece measures 31 cm. Switch to red, K 1 round and loosely cast off with red. |
