I'm bit confused. The pattern reads for the sleeve as follows:sleeve cap every other row: 3 sts at each side 1 time, then dec 1 st at each side until the piece measures 56 cm, then bind off 3 sts at each side until the piece measures 57 cm. Bind off the remaining sts. Do I only decrease one time 1stitch at each side and then knit until 56cm? And then 3 stitches at each side once and knit then until 57cm??
04.05.2023 - 16:45DROPS Design answered:
Hi Ester, You continue binding off 1 st on each side (every 2nd row) until the sleeve measures 56 cm, then bind off 3 sts every 2nd row until the sleeve measures 57 cm (not just once). Happy knitting!

Hello! I'm using the Brushed Alpaca Silk. Do I knit this pattern with a double with this yarn?
12.10.2018 - 11:12DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hickman, this pattern is worked with 1 strand Brushed Alpaca Silk (not double strands)- remember to check your tension and adjust needle size if necessary. Happy knitting!

Estoy terminando modelo 77-13.

Gauge: 18 sts x 37 rows = 10 x 10 cm on larger needles in garter st. Pattern: See chart. The pattern is seen from the right side. Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Front: Loosely cast on 70-76-84-92-102 sts on larger needles. Knit Pattern 1 once, then knit garter st to finished measurements. When the piece measures 8 cm inc 1 st at each side every 3.5-3.5-4-5.5-6 cm a total of 6-6-6-5-5 times = 82-88-96-102-112 sts. When the piece measures 31-32-34-36-37 cm divide at center front for neck split and put half the sts on a st holder. 1st side: = 41-44-48-51-56 sts. Continue in garter st until the piece measures 34-35-36-37-38 cm, then bind off for armhole at the side every other row: 4 sts 0-0-1-1-1 time, 3 sts 1-1-1-1-2 times, 2 sts 1-1-1-2-3 times and 1 st 3-5-4-4-3 times = 33-34-35-36-37 sts. When the piece measures 42-44-46-48-50 cm bind off 7 sts at center front edge for neck. Then bind off at neck edge every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 4 times = 17-18-19-20-21 sts remain on shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. 2nd side: Put sts back on needles and knit the same as 1st side, reversing all shaping. Begin the first row from center front. Start by picking up 1 st in the first st from the other side and knit tog with the 1st st. This reinforces the lower edge of the neck split. Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front without dividing work for neck split. Bind off for armhole as on front = 66-68-70-72-74 sts. When the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm bind off the center 28 sts for the neck. Then dec 1 st at each neck edge every other row 2 times = 17-18-19-20-21 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Sleeve: Loosely cast on 46-48-50-52-54 sts on larger needles. Repeat Pattern 1 four times over all sts, then knit garter st to finished measurements. When the piece measures 18 cm inc 1 st at each side every 4.5-4-3.5-3-2.5 cm a total of 7-8-8-9-10 times = 60-64-66-70-74 sts. When sleeve measures 49-48-46-45-43 cm bind off for sleeve cap every other row: 3 sts at each side 1 time, then dec 1 st at each side until the piece measures 56 cm, then bind off 3 sts at each side until the piece measures 57 cm. Bind off the remaining sts. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Neckband: Pick up approx. 90-100 sts around the neck on a smaller short circular needle. Knit 8 rows stockinette st, bind off. Fold edge double to wrong side and stitch in place. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance. I-cord: Cast on 4 sts on smaller short circular needles or double-pointed needles. Knit 1 row, * slide sts to right side of needle without turning work, pull yarn tight on back side and knit 1 row from the same side as previous row *. Repeat from * - *. Bind off when cord measures approx. 25 cm. Knit a second cord. Sew 1 I-cord to the top of each side of neck split. |
