Julia Desch kirjutas:
This looks a lovely pattern and I will make it in my own wensleydale - the question is where do we find a non-slip sole to put on the bottom or stranding glue to ensure they dont slip - this is really important especially going up and down stairs......many thanks

Hey! I'm really having troubles with this part here: "Then slip the sts from stitch holder back on needle and pick up 12-14-16 sts on each side of middle part (inside 1 edge st) = 61-65-71 sts on needle." What needle am I slipping the stitches onto? The same one as the one with ten stitches? Am I lnitting in the round here!? I also don't quite understand "the middle part".. Please help!
10.10.2014 - 04:43DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Kat, the "middle part" is the upper foot part you worked back & forth for 7-10 cm, pick up now 12-14-16 sts along left side of the upper foot, knit the sts from st holder back and pick up 12-14-16 sts along left side of upper foot, join in the round (sts will be picked up with dpn and distribute around) and continue in garter st. Happy knitting!

Dear Kat, after you have worked the upper foot, you will pick up sts sts along each side of the upper foot and slip sts back from st holder, ie first pick up on the left side of instep (middle part worked back and forth), knit sts from st holder and pick up on the right side of instep (middle part worked back and forth), then continue in the round. Happy knitting!

Jean Brickey kirjutas:
First I agree with Ann Marie Marshall, I wish the pattern was written simpler. I am not sure if you are doing the foot in the round or in pieces. If in the round then why can't you use circular needles? Second it says to work 4 ridges. What is a ridge? and what is A.1? Not sure where you are going with this.
08.10.2014 - 19:46DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Mrs Brickey, start with the cuff (around ankle), then work the instep back & forth over the first 10 sts (+ 2 sts inc), then pick up sts each side of instep + knit back sts from st holder and work foot in the round, dec then for heel and toe (seam is under foot). Finish then with the loose edge to sew around the slipper. 1 ridge = K2 rows or K1 round, P1 round. A.1= diagram for the pattern. You may use circular needle for foot but maybe then with magic loop technic. Happy knitting!

Please I need help on the pattern slippers 158-47 I do not understand the pattern I wish it was written out better that that
03.10.2014 - 19:53DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Mrs Marshall, you first work some rounds around ankle, then work the upper foot over the first 10 sts (inc 1 st each side), then work around picking up sts along both side of upper foot to finish with sole. A video will comme soon, please stay tuned. Happy knitting!

Pattern says all slippers require 300g. but when you go to order it is only 200g. I am confused. will 200g do a pair.
03.10.2014 - 16:42DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Mrs Lowden, you need 300 g Andes to work these slippers, ie 3 balls Andes, check stock of your Drops store and contact them if necessary to know when they will have more if they don't have 3 balls right now. Happy knitting!

RIPSKUDE (ringselt kududes): koo 1 ring parempidi, 1 ring pahempidi. RIPSKUDE (edasi-tagasi kududes): koo kõik read parempidi. MUSTER Vaata skeemi A.1. Skeemil on näidatud iga rida. MUSTER 2 1. RIDA (= töö PP): *2 pr, 2 ph*, korda *kuni*, kuni jääb 2 s, 2 pr. 2. RIDA (= töö PH): koo parempidised silmused pr, pahempidised silmused ph. SÄÄRE ALUMINE OSA Loo 37-37-39 s 6 mm sukavarrastele Andes lõngaga. Koo ringselt ripskoes – vaata ülevalt, kuni töö pikkus on umbes 4 cm, lõpeta pärast 1 ph ringi. JÄLGI KOETIHEDUST! JALAPEALNE Koo edasi-tagasi. Nüüd hoia esimesed 10 s vardal, tõsta ülejäänud 27-27-29 s silmusehoidjale. Nüüd koo keskmine osa MUSTRI 2 järgi – vaata ülevalt, 10 silmusega – SAMAL AJAL kahe järgmise rea lõpus loo üles 1 uus ääresilmus (koo ääresilmused ripskoes – vaata ülevalt) = 12 s. Kui keskmise osa pikkus on 7-8,5-10 cm, kahanda 1 ääresilmus mõlemal serval = 10 s. Siis tõsta silmusehoidjale olevad silmused tagasi vardale ja korja üles 12-14-16 s mõlema pool keskmist osa (1 ääresilmuse kõrval) = 61-65-71 s on vardal. EDASI MÕÕDA SIIT! Paigalda 1 silmusemärkija (SM) keskmise osa 10 silmuse keskele (= varbaotsa keskkoht) ja 1 SM kanna keskmisele silmusele, SM-d vahel on 30-32-35 s. Nüüd koo ringselt ripskoes. Kui töö pikkus on 2 cm, koo 2 s pr kokku mõlemal pool mõlemat SM-i igal teisel ringil (= 4 s vähem igal ringil). Jätka kahandamist, kuni töö pikkus on 5-5-6 cm. Koo ülejäänud silmused maha. Õmble talla alt kinni ääresilmuste eesaasadest, et vältida paksu õmblust. LÕDVA SÄÄREOSA Kootakse edasi-tagasi. Loo 22 s 6 mm varrastele Andes lõngaga. Koo 8 rida ripskoes, SAMAL AJAL viimasel ringil kasvata 6 s ühtlaste vahedega = 28 s. Koo skeemi A.1 (= 28 s), kuni töö pikkus on umbes 35-36-38 cm. Koo 8 rida ripskoes, SAMAL AJAL kahanda esimesel real 6 s ühtlaste vahedega = 22 s. Koo silmused maha. |
