Thank you for your reply to me on March 11th advising me to continue to decrease front and back as well as to start decreasing for shoulders. Since there are still 20 stitches left to bring total from 84 to 64 and pattern states to decrease at sides 5 times...that would mean 2 + 2 = 4 sts x 5 times comes to 20 stitches therefore how can I still decrease the front and back as well.. still dosen’t make sense to me. Please advise. Thanking you. Margaret Hucker

Dear Mrs Hucker, you have to decrease on mid front + on mid back 2 sts 8 times + 1 stitch 2 times = 40 sts are decreased on mid back + 40 sts on mid front, then you decrease 10 stitches on each shoulder = 124 (140) - 40-20= 64 (80) sts remain. Happy knitting!

Project is already 21cm after decreasing front & back leaving 84 st now do I still have to decrease a further 2 st on each side after every 3 cm which would mean another 20 rows to have 64 sts. Makes no sense. This would mean the decreasing pattern created at front and back would stop leaving the continuing plain knit in order to be able to decrease to the number of sts required to 64

Dear Mrs Hucker, when you start to decrease on the shoulders, continue the decreases on mid front and mid back as before, ie you will then decrease on mid front, mid back + on each shoulders. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!
