Hi for the double crochet around the stitch - is that one dc around each of the dc in the row below (3 dc ch 2, 3 dc )- so around the dc, then around the next dc, then around the next dc, ch2 and repeat? It feels as though they should just be stitched in the 2 ch space, but that is not how i read the graph? I went to how to read the graph, I didn't see this there. Thank you

Dear Rackel, the (3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) are worked around the 2-chain-space from previous row. Does this help? You can also read more about crochet diagrams here. Happy crocheting!

I'm quite confused. I crocheted the diagram from A1-A3 and my final width is almost 40cm (because of yarn and hook) and the length 75. My question is: should I stop now and make a second piece (if I have understand well the pattern) or should I keep on till my piece measures 150cm?? .

Dear Mrs Mzachs, scarf is worked in two pieces, ie if your first part measures 75 cm you can stop and work another one similar. Happy crocheting!

Crocheted stole in DROPS Sky. Piece is crocheted with lace pattern.
DROPS 213-31 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||
---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. CHAIN STITCH: If you work at the end of crochet hook the chain stitch will often be too tight 1 chain stitch should be just as long as 1 double crochet/treble crochet is wide. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- STOLE - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work in 2 parts from centre and out in each side. STOLE: Work 74 chain stitches - read CHAIN STITCH, on hook size 4 mm with Sky. Turn and work pattern back and forth as follows: A.1 over the first 8 chain stitches, A.2 over the next 60 chain stitches (= 5 repetitions in width), A.3 over the last 6 chain stitches. Continue back and forth like this. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! When A.1 to A.3 have been worked vertically, repeat the last 2 rows in diagrams until piece measures approx. 74 cm - adjust to finish after a row that is last row in diagrams. Cut and fasten the yarn. Work another part the same way. ASSEMBLY: Place the 2 parts on top of each other so that first chain stitch rows worked are towards each other. Work around both layers from wrong side as follows: Fasten strand with 1 double crochet in the outermost chain stitch, * work 2 chain stitches, skip approx. 1 cm, 1 double crochet *, work from *-* along the entire row and finish with 1 double crochet in the last chain stitch on row. Cut and fasten the yarn. |
