Why does the pattern increase by only 10 stitches? Does the addition of those 10 stitches make some noticeable difference in shape or size? What would be the result if knitted without the increases? It seems like such a small amount of extra stitches, so I wonder what is the reason for adding so few?

Dear Sabrina, this makes the bottom edge of the neckwarmer somewhat wider. Happy knitting!

Hello i would like to convert the drops Karisma pattern into wool in england. Could you please tell me the equivalent. Thank you
02.12.2019 - 20:24DROPS Design answered:
Hello, We only have equivalences for our DROPS Yarns. Do keep in mind each yarn has it's own unique specificities and, therefore, we cannot guarantee a perfect result by replacing a DROPS yarn by another yarn. We suggest you check our list of retailer stores in the UK. Moreover, it's the Alpaca Party time, and all our alpaca yarns have a 30% discount. Happy Kntting!

Bon tricot!

Hi there, what does "inc 1 st in every 3rd repetition with P" mean? Does that mean increase by 1 P every 6th row? Thank you!
29.12.2018 - 01:08DROPS Design answered:
Dear Lisa, you have to work the increases on the same round as follows: increase 1 st in the first P section, work 2 P-section without increases and increase 1 st on the next P-section, and so on until the end of the round. Happy knitting!

Hi - I am getting close to the point where I will need to increase. The pattern says ‘INCREASE TIP: Inc 1 st by making 1 YO, on next round K YO twisted (i.e. work in the back loop of st instead front) to avoid holes’ Can you explain this or point to a video which will illustrate it please? Thanks in advance!
27.10.2017 - 12:00DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Allison, it looks like you have to P increased sts in this pattern to get P3 in every 3rd P-section (and P2 in all other P-sections). You can increase a P stitch as shown either in this video or in this one. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

PATTERN: ROUND 1: K all sts. ROUND 2: * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Repeat round 1 and 2. INCREASE TIP: Inc 1 st by making 1 YO, on next round P YO twisted (i.e. work in the back loop of st instead front) to avoid holes. ---------------------------------------------------------- NECK WARMER: Worked in the round on circular needle. Loosely cast on 120 sts on circular needle size 4 mm with Karisma. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 3 cm. Now work PATTERN - see explanation above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION. When piece measures 16 cm, adjust so that next round is 2nd round in pattern, inc 1 st in every 3rd repetition with P - READ INCREASE TIP = 130 sts. Continue working pattern as before but with K 2 and P 3 in every 3rd repetition. When piece measures 24 cm, loosely cast off with K over K and P over P. |
