The piece is worked back and forth like a scarf and then sewn together to make a poncho.

Work 60-72-84 chain stitches with hook size 5.5 mm and with 2 strands Brushed Alpaca Silk (this makes the cast-on edge more elastic). Then work with 1 strand Brushed Alpaca Silk.
Then work as follows: Work A.1a over the first 4 chain stitches, A.2b over the next 52-64-76 chain stitches (= 13-16-19 repeats) and finish with A.3a over the last 4 chain stitches. Then work A.1b over A.1a, A.2b over A.2a and A.3b over A.3a. Repeat A.1b/A.2b/A.3b to finished length. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! Continue like this until the piece measures approx. 137-145-160 cm, cut and fasten the strand.

Lay the finished-edge 41-49-57 cm along the one long-side at the opposite end – see broken line in sketch (the opposite long-side now makes a point mid front). Sew together - make sure that the seam is not tight.
