INFORMATION FOR PATTERN:

GARTER STITCH (back and forth):
1 ridge = knit 2 rows.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1, A.2 and A.3. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side.

----------------------------------------------------------

CLOTHS:
Work cloths back and forth on needles.
Cast on 47 stitches on needle size 3.5 mm with Muskat. Work 4 ridges in GARTER STITCH - see explanation above. Work 3 edge stitches in garter stitch, A.1 over 5 stitches, repeat A.2 over 30 stitches (= 3 times in width), A.3 over 6 stitches and 3 edge stitches in garter stitch.
When diagrams have been worked 1 time vertically, repeat diagrams the same way until they have been worked vertically 3 times in total. Then work diagrams 1 more time vertically but stop at row marked with arrow. Work 4 ridges and cast off by knitting on next row. Fasten off.
Work 1 cloth in every colour.

Morgan 12.12.2018 - 20:07:

Is it possible to make it accessible please for example row 1 knit row 2 knit row 2 knit etc showing diagrams makes it inaccessibility for those with disabilities thank you

DROPS Design 13.12.2018 kl. 09:19:

Dear Morgan, we only have diagrams to this pattern, but you are welcome to contact the store where you bought the yarn for any assistance reading diagrams: start from RS at the bottom corner on the right side and read from the right towards the left and read all WS rows from the left towards the right - see diagram key for all symbols. Happy knitting!

Nancy Van Kirk 11.12.2018 - 13:47:

My attempt at this pattern is nice but it does not look at all like the photo so I am trying to work out the mistake. I think it is a right side/wrong side issue. I do long tail cast on and did 4 ridges, including the cast on row. Then row 9 and every odd row seems to be purl because it is the wrong side. Is that right? I assume you do the pattern stitches only on the right side. But are some stitches purl on the right side? Your photo looks like there might be.

DROPS Design 11.12.2018 kl. 15:00:

Dear Mrs Van Kirk, after the cast on row you have to work 4 ridges (= 8 knitted rows), then work diagram on next row starting at the bottom corner on the right side towards the left from RS. Read all WS rows from the left towards the right = ie all WS rows will be purled). The stocking stitch side should be the right side, there are no purl sts from WS, only 3 garter stitch on each side. Happy knitting!

Jeanne Joseph 16.04.2018 - 06:59:

What kind of pattern is this? A diagram? What about something in print for those of us who can’t do diagrams.

DROPS Design 16.04.2018 kl. 08:32:

Dear Jeanne, the diagrams show the patterns in a way that makes easy to follow visually. You can find the explanation for each symbol above the diagram, and it is well worth the try to decipher them, one you learn to use them, it will open up a whole knew way of knitting. And, you can also ask for help in person for each or our patterns in the store you bought your yarn from. Happy Knitting!
