DROPS STRAIGHT NEEDLES SIZE 7 mm - or size needed to get 12 sts x 24 rows in garter st with 1 strand of each yarn = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 8 mm - for crochet border

Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
MOSS ST:
Row 1: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from *-*.
2nd row: K over P and P over K. Repeat 2nd row.

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

DECREASE TIP: All dec are done from RS. Dec 1 st by K 2 sts tog.

SLIPPERS:
The slipper beg at the heel and is worked back and forth on needle towards the toe. Cast on 34-36-40 sts on needles size 7 mm with one strand of each yarn (= 2 strands) and work MOSS ST - see explanation above. When piece measures 11-12-14 cm, loosely cast off 5-5-6 sts at beg of the next 2 rows = 24-26-28 sts. Then work in GARTER ST until finished measurements - see explanation above. When piece measures 18-21-24 cm, dec 3 sts evenly - READ DECREASE TIP - repeat every other row 5 more times = 6-8-10 sts remain on needle. Cut the yarns and pull them double through the remaining sts and tighten tog. Piece measures approx. 22-25-28 cm.

ASSEMBLY:
Use Eskimo and sew tog with invisible sts edge to edge. Sew tog at the top of foot and then up along the leg at the front. Place the slipper double mid back and sew cast-on edge tog the same way.

CROCHET EDGE:
Crochet around the opening of slipper with 2 strands Puddel on hook size 8 mm as follows: * 1 dc, 3 ch, skip approx. 1½ cm *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in dc from beg of round.
