HAT: Cast on 124-132 sts on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with Karisma. K 2 rounds and continue in rib, K2/P2. When piece measures 5 cm P 1 round, at the same time inc 20-21 sts evenly on round = 144-153 sts. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and continue as follows: M.1 (= 15 sts), P 9-10 sts * M.2 (= 6 sts), P 9-10 sts *, repeat from *-* a total of 8 times. Continue in pattern like this. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 14-15 cm dec 1 st at the right and left side alternately of each P-section (= 9 dec per round) on every 2 cm a total of 7 times (dec by K tog the 2 outermost sts in each P-section) = 81-90 sts. On next row work all sts tog 2 by 2 = 41-45 sts, and on next row work all sts tog 2 by 2 again = 21-23 sts. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts, tighten thread and fasten. Hat measures approx 27-28 cm.

= K
= P
= Slip 1 st on cable needle behind piece, K3, P1 from cable needle.
= Slip 3 sts on cable needle in front of piece, P1, K3 from cable needle.
= Slip 3 sts on cable needle behind piece, K3, K3 from cable needle.

DROPS Design 23.10.2017 kl. 14:32:

Liebe Larissa, Größe S/M ist für 54/56 cm und Größe L/XL für 56/58 cm Kopfumfang. Viel Spaß beim stricken!

Renée 25.06.2014 - 15:49:

I absolutely don't want to use the magic loop technique. I would really like to know is it possible to knit this hat in the round on circular needles, with a 50cm cable approx. And then switch to dpns for the crown. Thanks!

DROPS Design 07.08.2014 kl. 10:35:

Dear Renée, you can start with a small circular needle (40 cm) and continue with dpn when there are not enough sts for circular needle. Happy knitting!

Renée 24.06.2014 - 10:44:

Is it possible to knit this on circular needles instead and then switch to dpns to do the crown?

DROPS Design 24.06.2014 kl. 17:19:

Dear Renée, that's correct, you can continue in the round with the circular needle with the method of "magic loop". Happy knitting!

Else Jensen 30.07.2013 - 15:20:

DROPS Design 03.04.2013 kl. 10:42:

Du minskar i höger sida först och nästa minskningsvarv minskar du i vänster sida.

Majsa 13.01.2010 - 06:20:

Hi, I have a problem to understand the final measure of the hat. Is that right that you start to decrease the stiches when the peace measure is 14-15 cm, and still the final maesure is 27-28 cm?
