Not sure which size you should choose? Then it might help you to know that the model in the picture is approx. 170 cm and uses size S or M. Pattern instructions

Knitting Tension: 17sts x 22 rows in stocking st with 2 strands of yarn on needle size 5 mm = 10x10cm.

Pattern: Pattern: See diagram (1 diagram = 1 repeat). Pattern is read from right to left, and is seen from RS. Pattern is worked in stocking st with 2 strands of yarn.

Buttonholes: Make buttonholes on right front 2 sts from edge as follows: Cast of 1 st, make 1 st on next row. Place buttonholes after 1 (1-1) cm, 13 (13-13) cm, 24.5 (25-25) cm, 36.5 (37.5-37.5) cm, 48 (50-50) cm.

Pocket lining: Cast on 28 sts on circ needle 5mm with green and work 11 cm stocking st back and forth on needle. Put sts on a thread. Make 2.

Right front: Remember buttonholes on right edge. Cast on 54 (56-58) sts on circ needle size 5mm with blue and work stocking st back and forth on needle. Work 5(7-7) rows and work next row as follows: 14 (15-16) sts blue, M.1,10 (11-12) sts with blue. Remember to check your tension. When work measures 12 cm work next row as follows: Work 15 (16-17) sts, cast off 28 sts for pocket opening, work 11 (12-13) sts. Next row: Place 28 sts from pocket lining over the cast off sts for pocket. Continue in pattern. After M.1 work 3 (6-6) rows in blue. Continue in pattern as follows: M.2, M.3, M.4, M.2, M.3, M.4. When piece measures 49 (51-51) cm dec for neck on every other row as follows: 10 (10-12) sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 1 st 4 times. Complete M.4. Piece measures approx 57 (59-59) cm. Cast off.

Left front: Cast on and work as right front but reverse pattern.

Back: Cast on 100 (104-108) sts with blue and work stocking st back and forth on needle. Work 5 (7-7) rows then work next row as follows: Work 10 (12-14) sts blue, M.1, work 20(20-20) sts blue, M.1, (reverse), work 10 (12-14) sts blue. After M.1 continue in pattern as on front but start at the arrow. When piece measures 55 (57-57) cm, cast off centre 30 (34-34) sts for neck. Cast off 2 sts each side of next row for neck. Continue until piece measures 57 (59-59) cm. Cast off.

Sleeves: Cast on 44 (44-46) sts on circ needle size 5mm with blue and work back and forth on needle. Work 5 (7-7) rows in stocking st. Work pattern as on front ( make sure you centre 1 repeat on top of sleeve). At the same time inc underneath sleeve as follows: 2 sts 26 (25-26) times alternatively on 3rd and 4th row = 96 (96-98) sts. Continue until piece measures 44 (44-44) cm. (or to suit pattern repeat). Cast off.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Crochet edge: Work dc from RS with 2 strands of yarn and crochet hook 3.5 mm: 1 row dc with blue at bottom of body, along fronts and around neck as follows: 120 sts for body, 55 sts along each front and 50 sts around neck. Work next row from RS as follows: * pick up thread from under dc st, make st loose (approx 2 cm long), twist hook 360 degrees anti clock wise , pull yarn through* Repeat * - *.
Repeat at bottom of sleeves over 25 sts and on pocket over approx 18 sts.
Sew pocket lining to inside. Sew in buttons.
