Cast on 3 sts on needle size 5 mm with 2 strands black. K 1 row, on next row inc 1 st at beg of row - READ INCREASE TIP. Repeat inc at beg of every row until there are 35 sts on needle. Now switch 1 black strand with 1 strand colour and finish the square as follows: K 1 row, on next row dec 1 st at beg of row - READ DECREASE TIP. Repeat dec at beg of every row until 3 sts remain on needle. K 1 row, slip 1 st as if to K, K 2 tog, psso, cut the yarn and pull through last st. Work 6 squares in total in every colour combination. ASSEMBLY: Place the squares according to diagram A.1, A.2 and A.1, make sure that they are placed in the same order and that they have the same side up. Sew the squares tog edge to edge in outermost ridge. Sew first all along then across. Fasten off. |
