If I want to make this using only one colour, how much yarn would I need? The full 200g or would less be enough?
12.12.2023 - 11:24DROPS Design answered:
Dear Anna, you can then use 2 strands same colour in same yarn group A as Baby Alpaca Silk or 1 strand yarn group C - use our yarn converter to see new yarn amount in the different alternatives. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

I'd like to make this in Alpaca. I'd like to use a turqoise colour as the stronger colour, could you please advise me as to what two colours would best go together? The three colours I was looking at as stronger colour were 2917, 2918 and 2919. 2919 seems like a combination of the other two on my screen. Unfortunately I have no walk in shops in the area where I can go and see for myself. Thank you

Knitted DROPS neck warmer in 2 threads ”BabyAlpaca Silk”.
DROPS 133-18 |
|
INCREASE TIP: Inc from RS. Inc straight after 3 K sts by getting the thread between 2 sts and P this twisted (i.e. work in back loop of st instead of front) to avoid holes. Next inc is done straight before 3 K sts so that inc are on left and right side of P sections alternately. ------------------------------------------------------- NECK WARMER: Worked in the round on circular needle, top down. Loosely cast on 80 sts on circular needle size 4 mm with 1 thread off white and 1 thread light grey purple Baby Alpaca Silk. Work rib K 3/P 2. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 10 cm, inc all 2 P sts to 3 P sts - READ INCREASE TIP. = 96 sts. Work 2 rounds in rib K 3/P 3. On next round, inc all 3 P sts to 4 P sts = 112 sts. Continue with rib K 3/P 4. Switch to a longer circular needle. Continue to inc the same way on every 4th round: 4 times, then every 6th round: 2 times = 208 sts (K 3/P 10). Then K all sts for approx. 2 cm. Loosely cast off. |
