I made this model size M. Instructins clear, and result very nice and flattering. I made this low waist (4 cm shorter) and even so needed 50 grammes extra yarn on top of what was recommended.

GARTER ST (in the round): K 1 round, P 1 round. MEASUREMENT TIP: Because of the weight of the yarn make all measurements while the garment is hanging, otherwise it will be too long when worn. FLOUNCE BORDER: See diagram M.1. 1 repeat = 7 sts before dec and 4 sts after the last dec. Diagram shows the pattern from RS. -------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------- SKIRT: Worked in the round from bottom edge towards the waist. LOOSELY cast on 301-329-371-413-448-490 sts on circular needle size 4.5 mm with Bomull-Lin. Work 4 rounds GARTER ST - see above – and then continue in stocking st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 16 cm for all sizes - see MEASUREMENT TIP - work M.1 on all sts. After M.1 there are 172-188-212-236-256-280 sts on needle. Work 4 rounds garter st and then continue in stocking st again. When piece measures 45-46-47-48-49-50 cm dec 14-14-18-20-20-24 sts evenly on round = 158-174-194-216-236-243 sts. Work 1 round stocking st, and then dec 28-28-36-40-40-48 sts evenly on next round = 130-146-158-176-196-208 sts. When piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm P 1 round (= folding edge), then work 2 cm stocking st and cast off LOOSELY. ASSEMBLY: Fold the 2 cm stocking st at the waist towards WS and fasten with neat sts, leave a small opening and thread the elastic through. |
