In this DROPS video we show how we increase to raglan and at the same time work short rows. Put 4 markers as explained in the in the pattern you are knitting after and cut the thread.

Now you start working front left of neck when garment is worn. Start from the right side, 2 stitches before marker-stitch-3 and work after pattern (stocking stitch / after charts) and increase to raglan before and after the 4 markers until you have worked to 2 stitches past marker-stitch-2 (8 stitches increased for raglan).
Turn, tighten the strand and work back from the wrong side to 2 stitches past where the short rows began by marker-3.

Continue with short rows as it says in the pattern and when the short rows are finish, cut the thread and now it starts mid-back again. Work the yarn overs / the increases as it says in the pattern, and remember that the yarn overs / increases are worked differently, before/after the marker and from the right side/from wrong side

Dear Susan, you should have the piece as follows: half back piece, marker 1, sleeve, marker 2, front piece, marker 3, sleeve, marker 4, half back piece. Sometimes, you increase both for the sleeves and body pieces; therefore, you increase on each side of the marker (= 8 increased stitches). However, when you want to increase only for the body pieces or sleeves you will only increase on the sides of the markers which will affect the desired part; for the sleeves after markers 1 and 3 and before markers 2 and 4 and for the body before markers 1 and 3 and after markers 2 and 4. So you increase only 4 stitches in each of those cases. Happy knitting!

About the markers. Do the markers go between the two stitches, at beg and end of raglan, so on raglan there are 16 sts in all on 4 th size. I really have no idea what is happening on video, I’m afraid, so will increase sts my own way. Neither pattern or video help ful in this case

Bonjour Mme Guevel, on tricote des rangs raccourcis pour que l'encolure dos soit plus haute, en commençant sur l'envers, vous tricotez d'abord jusqu'à 2 mailles après le fil marqueur-1, puis vous tournez et tricotez sur l'endroit jusqu'à 2 mailles après le fil marqueur 4 en même temps, vous augmentez pour le raglan comme indiqué sous RAGLAN, tournez et continuez ainsi en tricotant 2 m en plus à la fin de chaque rang de chaque côté et en augmentant tous les rangs sur l'endroit pour le raglan jusqu'à ce que vous ayez tricoté les 7 rangs de l'encolure. Vous avez alors augmenté 3 fois (3 rangs sur l'endroit). Bon tricot!

In this DROPS video we show how to work yarn over differently so that they are towards the right or towards the left, as it is done in the hat in DROPS 234-12. We show 1 round where we knit the yarn over and 2 rounds where we purl the yarn over. In this DROPS video we show how to put 4 markers in a piece, how to increase to raglan at these markers while working short rows. We cut the thread and start the short rows at the 3rd mark, but when the short rows are finished, we cut the thread and start in the middle of the back again. We have already worked a double neckline and in the video, l we show how we work a round where we put 4 markers and increase to raglan on each side of these markers. In this DROPS video we show how to work raglan on a jumper from the bottom up. There are several ways to work the decreases to raglan, but in this video, we show a simple basic way where it is decrease before and after the markers (4 marker threads are added in the piece between front piece, back piece and sleeves). Decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread as follows: Work until 3 stitches remain before marker thread, knit 2 together, knit 2, marker thread is between these 2 stitches, slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked. Repeat at each of the remaining marker threads (= 8 stitches decreased). On next round knit over all stitches, then work one round where you decrease to raglan again.
