How to end the raglan decreases on the front piece in DROPS Children 32-20

In this DROPS video we show the last two rows with raglan and neck decreases to the front piece in DROPS Children 32-20.

The middle stitches are put on 1 thread for neck and each shoulder (5 stitches x 2) are worked separately.
Left shoulder – start from the right side: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, decrease for raglan as before (slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch), knit 2 stitches together (decrease for neck) = 3 stitches on needle, turn work. Purl from the wrong side, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, turn work. 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, decrease for raglan = 2 stitches on needle. Turn and cast off stitches by purling.

Work right shoulder from the right as follows: knit 2 stitches together (decrease for neck), decrease for raglan (knit 2 stitches together), 1 edge stitch in garter stitch (=3 stitches). Turn work and work 1 stitch in garter stitch, purl from the wrong side, turn work. Decrease for raglan, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, turn work and cast off stitches by purling.

We use the yarn DROPS Air in the video, the same yarn we use in the pattern.

Dag Anke,

In de beschrijving van het patroon staat aangegeven hoeveel je moet minderen op de mouwen en op de panden. In dit patroon is dat toevallig hetzelfde op de mouwen en de panden, maar je breit in dit patroon de panden en de mouwen wel los van elkaar om vervolgens in elkaar te naaien.

In this DROPS video we show how to attach the beard, moustache and how we sew grafting stitches for the eyes in the Santa jumper in DROPS Children 32-20. BEARD: 1 fringe= 1 strand of 45 cm using off-white. Cut 18 fringes.Each fringe is fastened above the purled stitch on the neck of the Santa. Fold the fringe double, thread the loop around the stitch, then thread the strand-ends through the loop and tighten. Fasten a similar fringe in each of the 17 remaining stitches over the purled stitch. Then tie a loose knot using all the strands; tie the knot approx. in the middle of the strands. Trim the beard to the required length. MOUSTACHE: 1 fringe= 1 strand of 7 cm using off-white. Cut 8 fringes. Fold the fringes double and thread the loop around a stitch beneath a purled stitch on the face of Santa, then thread the strand-ends through the loop and tighten. Fasten a similar fringe beneath each of the purled stitches. Trim the moustache to the required length. In this DROPS video we show how we increase to raglan and at the same time work short rows. Put 4 markers as explained in the in the pattern you are knitting after and cut the thread. Now you start working front left of neck when garment is worn. Start from the right side, 2 stitches before marker-stitch-3 and work after pattern (stocking stitch / after charts) and increase to raglan before and after the 4 markers until you have worked to 2 stitches past marker-stitch-2 (8 stitches increased for raglan). Turn, tighten the strand and work back from the wrong side to 2 stitches past where the short rows began by marker-3. Continue with short rows as it says in the pattern and when the short rows are finish, cut the thread and now it starts mid-back again. Work the yarn overs / the increases as it says in the pattern, and remember that the yarn overs / increases are worked differently, before/after the marker and from the right side/from wrong side We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. In this DROPS video, we show how to increase with yarn over from the right side, both before a mark and after a mark, and how to work the increases from the wrong side. To get the yarn over to face neatly towards each other from the wrong side, work like this before the marker: Work in the back loop of the yarn over (no hole). After the marker work like this: Slip the yarn over off the left needle, then replace it the other way round (insert the left needle from the back when replacing it). In this DROPS video we show how to work yarn over differently so that they are towards the right or towards the left, as it is done in the hat in DROPS 234-12. We show 1 round where we knit the yarn over and 2 rounds where we purl the yarn over. Work the yarn over like this: AFTER MARKER: Work yarn over in back loop of stitches, stitch is twisted towards the left. It should not make a hole! BEFORE MARKER: Slip yarn over off the needle and put it back the opposite way, and then work in front loop of stitch, stitches is twisted towards the right. It should not make a hole! Work the increased stitches in rib knit 2/purl 2 - i.e. the first 2 times knit the increased stitches, the next 2 times purl them. The hat in DROPS 234-12 is worked in DROPS Karisma, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read a pattern to be able to follow this video properly. In this DROPS video we show how to put 4 markers in a piece, how to increase to raglan at these markers while working short rows. We cut the thread and start the short rows at the 3rd mark, but when the short rows are finished, we cut the thread and start in the middle of the back again. We have already worked a double neckline and in the video, l we show how we work a round where we put 4 markers and increase to raglan on each side of these markers. On next round we work the increases stitches twisted so that there are no holes. Then we work short rows, we also increase to raglan on every row and when the short rows are finished, we only increase to raglan on every other round. We use the yarn DROPS Nepal in the video.
