How to work 1st row with color changing in a rib

Keywords: good to know, rib, stripes,

In this DROPS video we show how we can avoid "dots" on the parties of purl stitch (from right side) when changing color. On the row with change color, knit all stitches, but on next row continue working rib (in this video; knit 2, purl 2).

We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

Hej!

DROPS Design answered:

Blessuð Anna. Þetta er gert alveg eins þegar þú notar hringprjón. Þú prjónar fyrstu umferðina með nýja litnum slétt. Síðan heldur þú áfram með stroffprjón í næstu umferð.

This is great to learn! I am curious, though, as to why the first two stitches on the color-change knit row are knit in the back.

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Mrs Hanlon, this is to avoid a visible "stripe" on the purled sections seen from RS. Happy knitting!
