In this DROPS video we show you how to put stitch to a stitch holder, how to split the work for the forelegs, how to decrease and how to cast on (we do not knit after the charts and we have a different stitch numbers then it says in the pattern). We have already knitted the rib(neck) and started on stocking stitch.

Bonjour Mme Benibgui, au début du tour suivant, vous glissez les 16 premières mailles en attente (tricotez-les pour éviter d'avoir à couper le fil), rabattez la m suivante, tricotez les mailles restantes jusqu'à la fin du tour précédent (juste avant les 16 m en attente), tournez et rabattez la 1ère maille. Vous tricotez maintenant en rangs sur ces 94 m pendant 8 cm et glissez ces mailles en attente. Reprenez ensuite les 16 m du devant, montez 1 m de chaque côté et tricotez les pendant 8 cm. Continuez ensuite sur toutes les mailles = 112 m, en rond. L'ouverture pour les pattes = les 8 cm tricotés séparément sur les m du dos et celles du dessous. Bon tricot!

Bonjour Mme Stachow, tout à fait, on continue les torsades sur les mailles du dos (ajustez bien pour que les torsades soient sur un rang endroit), puis vous mettez ces mailles en attente, tricotez celles du dessous du manteau à la même hauteur et reprenez ensuite toutes les mailles, et continuez toujours les points fantaisie jusqu'à la fin. Bon tricot!

Does this mean that the middle of this chart (which is 24 stitches) is the middle of the back, that is stitch 12 of M1 is the middle of the back? Or does it mean that the beginning of M1 is the middle of the back?

Hallo Anneke, Bij het lijf maak je a.h.w twee gaten voor de poten door het voor- en achterpand op die hoogte los van elkaar te breien. Nadat het lijf af is neem je steken op met de rondbreinaald bij de gaten en daar brei je een stukje boordsteek. In plaats van de rondbreinaald kun je ook sokkenbreinaalden gebruiken.

In this DROPS video we show how to work several cables after chart M.1 to the dog coat in DROPS 102-43. We work 3 garter stitches in each side and we have already worked 17 rows of the chart so you can see the cables better. We start the by working the 18th row. On this row the cables are worked like this: Put 3 stitches on cable needle behind the work, knit 3, knit 3 from cable needle. On row 20 and 22 work 1st and 3rd cables like this: Put 1 stitch on a cable needle behind the work, knit 3, purl 1 from the cable needle. And 2nd and 4th cables are worked like this: Put 3 stitches on a cable needle in front of work, purl 1, knit 3 from cable needle This dog coat is worked in DROPS Karisma, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. In this DROPS video, we show you how to knit a sock with a gusset heel - arguably the most common method for working a heel. To begin, the stitches on top of the foot are placed on a thread, while the stitches at the back are kept on the needles and the heel is worked as follows: 1) The heel is first worked in height, back and forth across the heel-stitches. 2) Next, the bottom of the heel is worked to the required width and length by working short rows and decreasing stitches. 3) Once this step is completed, continue knitting in the round across all stitches, knitting up stitches on both sides of the heel (along the length). 4) The width and shape of the foot is worked by decreasing stitches on both sides, forming a small gusset heel – that is why this type of heel is known as a gusset heel.
