See diagram A.1.

The beak is worked from the right side. Leave approx. 10 cm strand-end and work with off-white in the chain stitch the beak-symbol points to. Insert the hook in the chain stitch, pull the strand through the stitch and work 3 chain stitches (with double strand), then work 2 double treble crochets together to 1 stitch as follows (with single strand): Work 1 double treble crochet, but wait with the last yarn over and pull-through, work 1 more double treble crochet in the same way, cut the strand and change to black, make 1 yarn over and pull the strand through all loops on the hook. Continue the beak with black as follows: 2 chain stitches and 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch.

Start to crochet the legs as follows with dandelion: Leave approx. a 20 cm strand-end, insert the hook into the double treble crochet or treble crochet (see diagram A.1), pick up the strand and work the first 5-7 chain stitches with double strand (strand + strand-end = strand-end is then fastened). When you reach the end of the strand-end, continue with single strand according to diagram A.1.

The whole piece is worked without cutting the cerise strand. Start in the middle of the body and work around the chain-stitch row, then work the neck upwards, then the head, the neck downwards, work stitches over the back and then the tail. Beak and legs are worked to finish- see descriptions above. The piece is worked with hook size 3.5 mm.

Follow diagram A.1, starting with the start-symbol (= star). REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! When the diagram is finished work BEAK and LEGS - read descriptions above, cut the strand and pull it through.

Sew one stitch with black for the eye, cut and fasten all strands.
