BLANKET:
Crochet 25 squares in off white, 9 squares in heather, and 8 squares in light pink = a total of 42 squares.

SQUARE:
Crochet 6 ch on hook size 3.5 mm and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: 3 ch (= 1st tr), 2 tr in ch-ring, * 3 ch, 3 tr *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 4 tr-groups and 4 ch-loops.
ROUND 2: Work sl st until next ch-loop, 3 ch, 2 tr in ch-loop, 3 ch and 3 tr in same ch-loop (= 1st corner), * 1 ch and 3 tr in next ch-loop, 3 ch and 3 tr in same ch-loop (= next corner) *. Repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, and finish with 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 8 tr-groups and 8 ch-loops.
ROUND 3: Work sl st until next ch-loop, 3 ch, 2 tr in ch-loop, 3 ch and 3 tr in same ch-loop (= 1st corner), * 1 ch and 3 tr in next ch-loop, 1 ch and 3 tr, 3 ch and 3 tr in next ch-loop (= next corner) *. Repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, then work 1 ch and 3 tr in next ch-loop, finish with 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 12 tr-groups and 12 ch-loops.
ROUND 4: Work sl st until next ch-loop, 3 ch, 2 tr in ch-loop, 3 ch and 3 tr in same ch-loop (= 1st corner), * 1 ch and 3 tr in the next 2 ch-loops, 1 ch and 3 tr, 3 ch and 3 tr in next ch-loop (= next corner) *. Repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, then work 1 ch and 3 tr in the next 2 ch-loops, 1 ch, and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 16 tr-groups and 16 ch-loops.
ROUND 5-7: Work the same way as on 4th round, i.e. work 1 ch and 3 tr in every ch-loop between corners, work 1 ch, 3 tr, 3 ch and 3 tr in ch-loop in each corner on every round = 28 tr-groups and 28 ch-loops. Cut the thread.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew squares tog alongside and then across with off white. Place the squares with 6 squares in breadth and 7 rows in height - see Fig. 1. Place 2 and 2 squares on top of each other WS against WS, and sew them tog with 1 stitch in front loop of every st.

CROCHET BORDER:
Work a finishing edge around the entire blanket on hook size 3.5 mm with off white as follows:
ROUND 1: Work 1 dc and 3 ch in every ch-loop along the edges. In each corner on the blanket work 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 dc and 3 ch in same ch-loop.
ROUND 2: Work 1 dc, 3 tr, 1 dc in every ch-loop around the entire blanket.

Thank you so much for this pattern. I’m just about to finish my fifth blanket using this yarn and method....and now I have grandchildren who won’t go to bed without ’their’ blanket in ‘their’ colours!

Helga Dann 26.03.2018 - 13:09:

Was ist richtig bzw. besser ???

DROPS Design 27.03.2018 kl. 11:09:

DROPS Design 26.01.2016 kl. 16:03:

Hej Sarah, Hækler du i DROPS Baby Alpaca Silk?
