BLANKET:
Crochet 25 squares in off white, 9 squares in heather, and 8 squares in light pink = a total of 42 squares.

SQUARE:
With hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 ch 6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: ch 3 (= 1st dc), 2 dc in ch-ring, * ch 3, 3 dc *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with ch 3 and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 4 dc-groups and 4 ch-spaces.
ROUND 2: Work sl st until next ch-space, ch 3, 2 dc in ch-space, ch 3 and 3 dc in same ch-space (= 1st corner), * ch 1 and 3 dc in next ch-space, ch 3 and 3 dc in same ch-space (= next corner) *. Repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, and finish with ch 1 and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 8 dc-groups and 8 ch-spaces.
ROUND 3: Work sl st until next ch-space, ch 3, 2 dc in ch-space, ch 3 and 3 dc in same ch-space (= 1st corner), * ch 1 and 3 dc in next ch-space, ch 1 and 3 dc, ch 3 and 3 dc in next ch-space (= next corner) *. Repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, then work ch 1 and 3 dc in next ch-space, finish with ch 1 and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 12 dc-groups and 12 ch-spaces.
ROUND 4: Work sl st until next ch-space, ch 3, 2 dc in ch-space, ch 3 and 3 dc in same ch-space (= 1st corner), * ch 1 and 3 dc in the next 2 ch-spaces, ch 1 and 3 dc, ch 3 and 3 dc in next ch-space (= next corner) *. Repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, then work ch 1 and 3 dc in the next 2 ch-spaces, ch 1, and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 16 dc-groups and 16 ch-spaces.
ROUND 5-7: Work the same way as on 4th round, i.e. work ch 1 and 3 dc in every ch-space between corners, work ch 1, 3 dc, ch 3 and 3 dc in ch-space in each corner on every round = 28 dc-groups and 28 ch-spaces. Fasten off.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew squares tog alongside and then across with off white. Place the squares with 6 squares in width and 7 rows in height - see Fig. 1. Place 2 squares on top of each other WS against WS, and sew them tog with 1 stitch in front loop of every st.

CROCHET BORDER:
Work a finishing edge around the entire blanket on hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 with off white as follows:
ROUND 1: Work 1 sc and ch 3 in every ch-space along the edges. In each corner on the blanket work 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc and ch 3 in same ch-space.
ROUND 2: Work 1 sc, 3 dc, 1 sc in every ch-space around the entire blanket.
