MOSS ST:
1st round: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from *-*.
2nd round: K over P and P over K. Repeat 2nd round.
--------------------------------------------------------

WRIST WARMERS:
Cast on 36-40 sts on double pointed needles size 4 mm with Nepal and K 1 round. Then work rib = K 2/P 2. When rib measures 12-12 cm, work MOSS ST in the round on double pointed needles - see explanation above. When piece measures 13-14 cm, divide piece for thumb and work back and forth over all sts. When piece measures 17-18 cm, work in the round again on double pointed needles. When piece measures 19-20 cm, cast off in moss st.

CROCHET BORDER:
Work along cast on and cast off edge. Work with 1 thread off white and 1 thread light grey Puddel on hook size 7 mm as follows: 1 dc, * 1 ch, skip 2 cm, 1 dc *, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc.

Lynette 15.06.2012 - 11:58:

What does it mean when you say knit in the round

DROPS Design 06.12.2012 kl. 14:24:

Dear Lynette, you knit in the round when you join the last cast on st to the first cast on and work all sts from RS. You may have a look on our videos (see index) to learn how to work in the round on double pointed needles. Happy knitting !

DROPS Design 07.12.2011 - 09:44:

First you work back and forth and after 17-18 cm work in the round again. This will create the hole .

Caroline Brent 07.12.2011 - 00:05:

But there is a hole for the thumb, how is this made? it does not say in the pattern, when the piece measures 13-14 cm, how do I divide the piece for the thumb? how many stitches? by working at the beg of round working back and forth on all sts instead of in the round i cannot see how this creates a hole for the thumb, sorry it still is not clear to me

Drops Design 05.12.2011 - 18:19:

When it say to divide piece, this means that in the beg of round start working back and forth on all sts instead of in the round.
