CROCHET INFO: Replace first tr at beg of row/round with 3 ch. Finish each row with 1 tr in 3rd ch from previous row and finish each round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Replace first dtr at beg of round with 4 ch, finish round with 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round. MEASUREMENT TIP: Because of the weight of the yarn make all measurements whilst the garment is hanging, otherwise it will be too long when worn. INCREASING TIP: Inc 1 tr by working 2 tr in the same tr. DECREASING TIP: Crochet 1 tr but wait with the last pull-through (= 2 sts on hook), crochet next tr and when doing the last pull-though pull thread through all 3 sts on hook = 1 dec tr. --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- SKIRT: Piece crochet back and forth from top down until after the split at the side, then continue in the round. Because of the weight of the yarn crochet the first 3 rows with 1 thread Cotton Viscose and 1 elasticated thread to make the skirt sit nicely at the waist. Crochet 186-209-232-258-279-305 LOOSE ch (includes 3 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 3.5 mm and Cotton Viscose and elasticated thread (= 2 threads).Crochet first row as follows: 1 tr in 4th ch from hook, 1 tr in each of the next 4 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 tr in each of the next 6 ch *, repeat from *-* until 3-5-7-5-5-3 ch remain, skip 1 ch and finish with 1 tr in each of the last 2-4-6-4-4-2 ch = 158-178-198-220-238-260 tr. Now continue back and forth with 1 tr in each tr – See CROCHET INFO! After 3 rows remove the elasticated thread and continue with 1 thread Cotton Viscose. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! After a total of 5 rows insert 6 markers in piece as follows: First marker after 14-14-16-20-21-22 tr, then 26-30-33-36-39-43 tr between each marker, = 14-14-17-20-22-23 tr after the last marker at the end of row. On next row inc 1 tr before all markers – See INCREASING TIP! Repeat the inc on every other row a total of 7-7-8-9-10-11 times – NOTE! Inc before and after the markers alternately = 200-220-246-274-298-326 tr. AT THE SAME TIME after a total of 12 rows continue in the round (= after the split) – round beg at the side, see CROCHET INFO! When piece measures 29-31-33-35-37-39 cm – see MEASUREMENT TIP – inc 8-4-10-6-6-10 tr evenly = 208-224-256-280-304-336 tr on round. Now complete piece in fan pattern as follows: FAN PATTERN: See CROCHET INFO! ROUND 1: 1 dc in first tr, * 4 ch, skip 3 tr, 1 dc in next tr *, repeat from *-* and finish with 4 ch and 1 sl st in first dc = 52-56-64-70-76-84 ch-loops. ROUND 2: * 4 tr + 2 ch + 4 tr in first ch-loop, 1 tr in next ch-loop *, repeat from *-* = 26-28-32-35-38-42 fans. ROUND 3: * 4 tr + 2 ch + 4 tr in the middle of first fan (i.e. in ch-loop in fan), 1 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-*. Repeat round 3 a total of 4 times (piece now measures approx 38-40-42-44-46-48 cm and fan pattern measures approx 9 cm). CROCHET NEXT ROUND AS FOLLOWS: * 4 dtr + 2 ch + 4 dtr in the middle of first fan, 1 dtr in next tr *, repeat from *-*. Repeat this round a total of 5 times, piece measures approx 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm - REMEMBER MEASUREMENT TIP – if you want the skirt slightly longer continue to desired length. Cut and fasten thread. BUTTONHOLE LOOPS: Crochet buttonhole loops along split on front piece as follows, beg at bottom: 2 dc in first tr, 3 ch, skip 1 tr, * crochet 2 dc in each of the next 2 tr, 3 ch, skip 1 tr *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with 2 dc in last tr, turn and crochet return row as follows: 1 dc in each dc and 3 dc in each ch-loop. BUTTON EDGE: Crochet 5 rows dc back and forth along split on back piece (on first row crochet 2 dc in each tr = 24 dc), cut thread. Sew on buttons. |
