Gauge:
Tynn Chenille: 20 sts x 32 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"].
(Cotton Chenille: 14 sts x 26 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"].)

Rib: * K 1, P 1 *. Repeat from * - *.

Knitting tip:
Make decreases as follows from the right side:
Before 2 edge sts: K 2 tog.
After 2 edge sts: slip 1, K 1, pass the slipped st over

Body: Cast on 126-138-150-162-174-186-198 (90-98-106-114-122-130-138) sts with beige (brown). Knit rib for 2 cm [0.75"]. Change to stockinette st, keeping 1 st at each edge in garter st. When the work measures 22-23-24-24-26-28-30 cm [8-5/8" - 9" - 9.5" - 9.5" - 10.25" - 11" - 11.75"] knit the next row as follows: 30-33-36-39-42-45-48 (21-23-25-27-29-31-33) sts for the front, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 58-64-70-76-82-88-94 (40-44-48-52-56-60-64) sts for the back, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 30-33-36-39-42-45-48 (21-23-25-27-29-31-33) sts for the front. Knit the rest of each part separately.

Front: = 30-33-36-39-42-45-48 (21-23-25-27-29-31-33) sts. Dec 1 st for armhole (inside 2 edge sts - see Knitting tip) every other row 3-3-4-5-7-8-11 (2-2-2-3-4-5-7) times = 27-30-32-34-35-37-37 (19-21-23-24-25-26-26) sts. When the work measures 29-31-34-35-38-40-42 cm [11-3/8" - 12.25" - 13-3/8" - 13.75" - 14-7/8" - 15.75" - 16.5"] bind off for the neck every other row: 6-6-6-8-8-8-8 (4-4-4-5-5-5-5) sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 (1) times. Bind off when the work measures 35-38-41-43-46-49-51 cm [13.75" - 14-7/8" -16-1/8" - 16-7/8" - 18-1/8" - 19.25" - 20"].

Back: = 58-64-70-76-82-88-94 (40-44-48-52-56-60-64) sts. Bind off for armholes as on the front = 52-58-62-66-68-72-72 (36-40-44-46-48-50-50) sts. When the work measures 33-36-39-41-44-47-49 cm [13" - 14-1/8" - 15.25" - 16-1/8" - 17.25" - 18.5" - 19.25"] bind off the center 18-18-18-22-22-22-22 (12-12-12-14-14-14-14) sts for the neck. Bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row. Bind off when the work measures 35-38-41-43-46-49-51 cm [13.75" - 14-7/8" -16-1/8" - 16-7/8" - 18-1/8" - 19.25" - 20"].

Sleeve: Cast on 40-40-40-42-44-44-44 (28-28-28-30-32-32-32) sts with beige (brown) and knit 2 cm [0.75"] rib. Change to stockinette st, keeping the edge st at each side in garter st throughout. When the work measures 5 cm [2"], inc 1 st at each side 7-11-15-18-19-21-21 (5-8-11-13-13-14-14) times:
Tynn Chenille:
Size 2: alternately every 9th and 10th row
Size 3/4: every 7th row
Sizes 5/6 + 9/10: alternately every 5th and 6th row
Sizes 7/8 + 11/12: every 5th row
Size 13/14: every 6th row
= 54-62-70-78-82-86-86 sts.
Cotton Chenille:
Size 2: alternately every 11th and 12th row
Size 3/4: every 8th row
Sizes 5/6 + 9/10 + 11/12: alternately every 6th and 7th row
Size 7/8: every 6th row
Size 13/14: every 7th row
= (38-44-50-56-58-60-60) sts.
When the work measures 29-32-35-38-41-43-47 cm [11-3/8" - 12-5/8" - 13.75" - 14-7/8" - 16-1/8" - 16-7/8" - 18.5"] bind off for sleeve caps at each side every other row: 3 sts 2 (1) times, 2 sts 1-1-1-1-2-2-2 (1-1-2-2-2-1-1) times, 1 st 1-1-2-4-4-6-8 (2-2-2-4-5-7-9) times, 2 sts 1-1-2-2-2-3-2 (1-2-2-2-2-2-1) times, 3 sts 2-3-3-3-3-2-2 (1-1-1-1-1-1-1) times, bind off. The work measures approx. 33-37-41-45-49-52-57 cm [13" - 14.5" - 16-1/8" - 17.75" - 19.25" - 20.5" - 22.5"].

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx. 58-62-68-70-78-80-84 (40-42-46-48-52-56-58) sts along the left front with beige (brown) and knit rib for 2.5 cm [1"], keeping the sts at each edge in garter st, bind off. Repeat along the right front, but after 0.5 cm [0.25"] make 6-6-6-7-7-7-8 buttonholes evenly distributed on the row (1 buttonhole = bind off 2 (1) sts and inc 2 (1) new sts over the bound-off sts on the next row. Bind off loosely in rib.
Pick up 70-90 (50-65) sts around the neck and over the button bands with deep red (paprika) and knit 4 rows garter st, bind off loosely.
Crochet a border in the first row of the garter st around the neck with deep red (paprika) from the right side as follows: 1 slip st in the first knitted st, * ch 4, 1 single crochet (sc) + 1 double crochet (dc) in the 3rd ch from the hook, ch 1, skip over 2 sts , 1 slip st in the next knitted st *. Repeat * - *.
Sew sleeve seams, sew in the sleeves and the buttons.
