Pattern drops 134-53 instructions: English rib in the round; do I repeat the three rounds as I am not understanding "repeat 2nd and 3rd round "upwards". Is round 1 repeated also?
29.01.2016 - 16:22DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Annette, round 1 is just like a "set up round", repeat round 2 and 3. See also video below. Happy knitting!
29.01.2016 - 16:47Annette kirjutas:
In your video, the circular needle looks less (looks like maybe 30cm) than 80 cm, is that correct? I tried using these 80 cm circular needles for the 38 stitches of the pattern, stitches are stretched and can't meet the other end. What am I doing wrong?
28.12.2015 - 20:24DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Annette, you can use the technique of magic loop if you are more comfortable with. Happy knitting!

Annette kirjutas:
I watched other videos on knitting in the round and they suggest the length of circular needles should not be too long as this makes it difficult to manage work on space between needles.
16.12.2015 - 19:16Annette kirjutas:
How long are the circular needles? What does repeat 2nd and 3rd round "upwards" mean?
16.12.2015 - 03:38DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Annette, the circular needle is a 80 cm one (see also under tab "Materials" - Repeat round 2 and 3 all the way - see also video. Happy knitting!

12.12.2015 - 16:42DROPS Design vastas:

Drops youtube videos have no sound!
10.12.2015 - 17:19DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Annette, Our videos do not have sound. We are a worldwide company and our videos are watched by people around the world, speaking different languages, many of whom do not understand English. We have therefore written instructions to accompany this video, and there is no sound to disturb while watching. Enjoy!

So I watched the video plus I have had five other ladies try this pattern. All would be good if the pattern consisted of the pattern stitch fishermans rib. But your video by no means tells me why this english rib pattern is not working for the cowl because it is not following the pattern you have given to follow. I have had five other ladies tell me there is a mistake somewhere in the english rib pattern.
09.12.2015 - 22:25DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Laurielew, the video below shows the fisherman rib worked in the round from 1st round as explained in pattern below, then round 2 from time code 1:12 and round 3 from time code 2:42. You will have to work a few rounds to be able to see the texture. Happy knitting!

I love the headband but working the English Rib on the Circular Needles is soon frustrating!!! I have thrown away yards and yards of yarn and am starting from scratch - yet again - for the FIFTH time! I finally made it to the 5th row on the last try before finding a stick 'missing' or an extra one somehow 'appearing' - Grrrrr.... :-( I'm nothing if not determined!! :-/
28.11.2015 - 07:10DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Annette, the headband is worked flat (= in rows) while neckwarmer is worked in the round. See tab "Videos" to watch how to work english rib either in the round or back and forth. Happy knitting!

Annette Falconer kirjutas:
In one of the above comments you mention that we should go to the tab 'Videos" to see all of the techniques for this pattern but I cannot find the 'videos' tab. Help! :-P Please?
21.11.2015 - 00:40DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Mrs Falconer, you will find this tab just on the right side of the picture: first tab is "Materials" where you can find the list of yarn, needle, gauge, etc.. for both head band and neck warmer, then on the right side of "Materials" you will find "Videos" where are listed all relevant videos, you can also find them in our library. Happy knitting!

I couldn't get the english rib in the round to work for the cowl. So then I approached a friend that has knitted for over 30 yrs and she couldn't get it to work either. Neither of us continental knit we just knit. I do not know what I am doing wrong. the headband worked out lovely. But this cowl is driving me nuts. Is it the way I knit???
09.10.2015 - 00:46DROPS Design vastas:
