DROPS bolero in garter st in 2 threads ”Kid-Silk”. Size S - XXXL.
DROPS 113-10 |
|
GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. DECREASING TIP: Dec inside 1 st by K 2 tog. ---------------------------------------------------------- BOLERO: Worked in 1 piece, back and forth on circular needle in garter st. Beg at bottom of back piece, inc for sleeves, dec for neckline, and continue on the 2 front pieces. BACK PIECE: Cast on 60-66-74-82-92-102 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on circular needle size 5 mm with 2 threads Kid-Silk. Work garter st – see above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 4 cm inc 1 st each side by K 2 sts in the last but one st, and repeat the inc on every 3-3-3.5-3.5-4-4 cm a total of 5 times = 70-76-84-92-102-112 sts. When piece measures 19-20-21-22-23-24 cm cast on new sts at the end of every row each side for sleeves. 1 st 1-1-2-2-3-4 times, 2 sts 2-3-2-2-1-1 times, 4 sts 2-1-1-1-1-0 times, 6 sts 1 time, 8 sts 1 time and 14-15-14-12-9-9 sts 1 time = 152-156-160-164-166-170 sts on needle. Continue until piece measures 37-39-41-43-45-47 cm. Now cast off the middle 16-16-16-18-18-18 sts for neck = 68-70-72-73-74-76 sts left on each shoulder/sleeve. Slip sts on one side on a stitch holder. FRONT PIECE 1: = 68-70-72-73-74-76 sts. Continue for 1 cm and insert a marker in piece = mid shoulder. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! When piece measures 14-15-16-17-18-19 cm from marker loosely cast off sleeve sts at the beg of every row from sleeve edge as follows: 14-15-14-12-9-9 sts 1 time, 8 sts 1 time, 6 sts 1 time, 4 sts 2-1-1-1-1-0 times, 2 sts 2-3-2-2-1-1 times and 1 st 1-1-2-2-3-4 times = 27-30-34-37-42-47 sts left on needle. When piece measures 22-24-24-26-26-28 cm from marker dec 1 st at the side – SEE DECREASING TIP – and repeat the dec on every 3-3-3.5-3.5-4-4 cm a total of 5 times. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 26-28-30-32-34-36 cm dec 1 st towards mid front (to curve the piece) – SEE DECREASING TIP – and repeat the dec on every 4th row a total of 4-3-3-2-2-2 times, then on every other row 7-8-7-9-8-6 times and then on every row 6-8-10-10-12-16 times = 4-5-8-10-14-17 sts left on needle. Cast off on next row. FRONT PIECE 2: Slip sts from stitch holder back on needle and work like piece 1, but mirrored. ASSEMBLY: Fold bolero double at shoulder = by marker. Sew side and sleeve seams inside 1 edge st. CROCHET BORDER: Crochet a border round the opening with Cotton Viscose and crochet hook size 3.5 mm as follows: ROUND 1: * 1 dc, 3 ch, skip approx 1 cm *, repeat from *-*, and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round. ROUND 2: 2 ch, 1 dc in first ch-loop *, 5 ch, 1 dc in next ch-loop *, repeat from *-*, and finish with 5 ch and 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round. Crochet a similar border round both sleeve edges. |
