How to knit a jumper top down
We show how we increase for raglan by doing a YO 2 sts before marker and 2 sts after marker, and on next round K YO twisted to avoid a hole. We have already worked neck (rib) and start the video with the 1st round where we do the increase. We also show how we put the sleeve stitches on a thread, how we cast on new sts under arm and knit the sleeve.

Bonjour. Après les côtes, je commence A1. Je fais 1 jeté avant le 1er marqueur de la manche ( jeté endroit: mon fils passe de derrière à devant). Je tricote en jersey la maille avec le marqueur, puis je fais un jeté. Mais come la maille suivante est une maille envers, comment dois-je faire mon jeté ? Merci bcp

19.07.2026 - 09:40Hello, I am working on Daisy Lane/DROPS 231-53 Pattern and I'm at the part where I'm supposed to "work A.1". Is this done over a single round? I'm confused because the next sentence says "When A.1 has been worked vertically" and I don't know how "vertically" applies here. Also, why are there two rows in the diagram A.1 when it seems like it is worked over a single round? Thank you in advance, this is my first time following diagrams for knitting.

Dear Mrs Peacock, depending on your size you will work 0 to 3 sts at the beg of round, then repeat the 5 sts A.1 (31 to 46 times) and knit the last 0-3 sts of the round = you have increased 2 sts in each A.1 (sese 2nd symbol); then "when A.1 has been worked vertically" means when you have worked A.1 to the end, ie after you have worked the 2 rows A.1. 01.10.2025 - 16:59Working on Quiet Bay Pattern z-1037. I need help placing the markers to set up the raglan. I’m understanding that the BOR is changed to 46 stitches in. Is that correct? This is where I get lost. Help please and thank you.

Dear Jill, the inserted marker is for measuring the piece and is located in the mid-front ; the beginning of the round is still the same as before, at right shoulder at the back. So, when inserting the markers at the yoke, you have: marker 1 at the beginning, 28 sleeve stitches, marker 2 in transition between right sleeve and front piece, 36 front piece stitches, marker 3 in the transition between front piece and left sleeve, 28 sleeve stitches, marker 4 in the transition between left sleeve and back piece stitches, last stitches in the round are in the back piece. 10.01.2025 - 08:58Hej.Denna video stämmer inte med er beskrivning för tröjan jag stickar, DROPS 191-30. Jag blir bara mer förvirrad. På denna tröja jag stickar är det två raglan som går jäms med varandra. Hade gärna haft en video hur beskrivning för denna tröja ska stickas. Kan ni inte göra en sådan video. Skulle så gärna vilja sticka denna tröja.
