How to knit A.1 in DROPS 140-47

In this DROPS video we show you how to knit chart A.1 for the jacket in DROPS 140-47.

In this video we have 4 edge sts in garter st in each side and we have already knitted 2 reports of the chart in height.

This jacket is made in DROPS Polaris, in the video we knit with DROPS Snow.

Le modele dit bien de monter 31m. De tricoter ensuite 3 rangs end et le rang suivant (4e ???) sur lequel je me retrouve avec juste des mailles env. je dois commencer le diagramme a-1. si je comprend bien . Mais j'aimerais savoir pourquoi je me retrouve avec la torsade sur l"envers du tricot et les 19 mailles jersey sur l,endroit du tricot????? Gros merci pour l"aide.

DROPS Design :

Bonjour Mme Kingsbury, vous devez tricoter 3 rangs endroit (= 1 rang sur l'envers, 1 rang sur l'endroit et 1 rang sur l'envers). Le rang suivant se tricote sur l'endroit en commençant le diagramme A.1 (= vu sur l'endroit A.1 commence par 2 m end, 2 m env, le point ajouré et 2 m env). Bon tricot!

How to knit up stitches around an armhole, for a sleeve with split

In this DROPS video, we demonstrate how to knit up stitches around an armhole for a split-sleeve. We begin by showing you how to use a crochet hook to knit up stitches and transfer them onto a knitting needle. Then, we continue by showing you how to work with the stitches using knitting needles. Start at the bottom of the armhole (not directly under the sleeve) and knit up the number of stitches specified in your pattern, going as far as the other side of the armhole. Knit up the stitches within one stitch, which is often a garter stitch. Turn and work back, continuing back and forth to the measurement specified in your pattern, or use short rows for a better fit. Once completed, the sleeve is joined and worked in the round. Refer to your pattern for details on measurements, decreases, and the ribbed cuff. In this video, we demonstrate only 6–7 cm of the sleeve. Finally, sew together the hole under the sleeve. To make the seam and sewing easier to see, we use a contrasting color in the video. The yarn featured in this video is DROPS Air. This technique can be used in several patterns – which you can find by clicking on the pictures below:

In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the sleeve to the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We also show how to sew the front band stitches to along the neckline. We use the stitch numbers for size M. Read in the pattern how many stitches to knit up under the sleeve, where and how often to decreases, change needle size and the length of the rib. Sew in the buttons. Sew the bands together mid-back, then sew the bands to the neckline, stretching the bands a little to sew it on. This jacket is worked in DROPS Daisy, but in the video, we use DROPS Cotton Merino color no. 30. You’ll find the pattern by clicking on the picture below. In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We use the stitch numbers for size M. We have already worked the bands with an I-cord edge, some of chart A.1, A.2, A.3 and A.4 (see video Part 1) and worked YOKE until the part divide for body and sleeves. (see video Part 2). We start the video by working the row where we divide the bodies and sleeves (from right side). Read under DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES – ALL SIZES in the pattern. In size M there should then be 235 stitches for the body and 56 stitches for each sleeve. Then it is working from wrong side and work 2nd row in the charts as follows: Work 7 band stitches as before, A.6, A.3 until there are 12 stitches left, A.5 and 7 band stitches as before. * Work 7 band stitches as before, A.5, A.3 until there are 13 stitches left, A.6 and 7 band stitches as before. Work the diagrams 1 time in height. Continue with 7 band stitches as before, A.7, A.3 until there are 18 stitches left, A.8 and 7 band stitches as before. Work the diagrams 1 time in height *. Work from *-* until the body have the specified length (18 cm in size M), finishing after a complete repeat of A.3 in height. Remember the buttonholes. Then change the needle, work a rib, increase stitches and work the 7 band stitches on each side are worked as before, read more in the pattern. This jacket is worked in DROPS Daisy, but in the video, we use DROPS Cotton Merino color no. 30. You must read the pattern and look at the charts to be able to follow this video properly. In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We use the stitch numbers for size M. We have already worked the bands with an I-cord edge, worked 24 rows of chart A.1 and worked charts A.2, A.3 and A.4 two times in height (see video Part 1). When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked two time in height, you will work 2 more repeat of A.3 between A.2 and A.4 (= 4 reports of A.3). When A.1 has been worked 1 time in height, the increases towards mid-front are finished, and except size S, continue increasing for raglan in each transition between body and sleeves. Read under the PATTERN and under the size you knit how to work the next row (we use stitch markers between the charts to get a better overview). Remember BUTTONHOLES. When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked 1 more time in height, all the increases are finished and there are now 317 stitches on the needle and the work measures approx. 27 cm from the shoulder (size M). This jacket is worked in DROPS Daisy, but in the video, we use DROPS Cotton Merino color no. 30. You must read the pattern and look at the charts to be able to follow this video properly. In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We use the stitch numbers for size M. We have already worked the bands with decreases and I-cord edge, and start the video by cast on stitches between the right and left band (the green markers show the decreases worked on each band piece). Then we purl 1 row from the wrong side, while the 7 band stitches on each side are worked as before. On the next row, work garter stitches, stocking stitches, after charts and increases to raglan, read under YOKE in the pattern, the 7 band stitches on each side are worked as before (we use stitch markers between the charts to get a better overview). When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked 1 time in height, you will work 1 more repeat of A.3 between A.2 and A.4 (= 3 repeats of A.3).
