How to knit stockinette stitch back and forth on a circular needle

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit stockinette stitch back and forth on circular needles.

Cast on, turn around and work stockinette back and forth on a circular needle. First row = WS. For stockinette *P 1 row, K 1 row*, repeat *-*.

Hei Tine. Må ha samme strikkefasthet både når det strikkes fra retten og fra vrangen for å få det jevnt. Gjelder det all type garn du strikker med (ull, alpaca, bomull)? Er det vanlig glattstrikk eller med noe struktur. mvh DROPS Design

Bonjour Josie, sans doute juste une question d'habitude/d'entrainement. Vous pouvez tricoter un col en rangs: on coud une seule des 2 épaules, on relève les mailles en commençant par l'épaule non assemblée (pensez aux mailles lisières pour la couture); après le col, cousez les épaules et faites la couture du col (comme une couture côté). Bon tricot!

Hej Helene. Det är kun en annan måte att strikke vrange masker på, men strikke bara så som du är vant vid med tråden foran. Resultatet blir detsamma. Mvh DROPS Design

Hei Miriam. 1 pinne regnes som 1 pinne/1 omgang. Strikker du 1 pinne rett + 1 pinne vrang, regnes det som 2 pinner, dersom det ikke står noe spesifisert om dette i en oppskrift. God Fornøyelse!

Buonasera Rosita. Nei modelli in cui la lavorazione è avanti e indietro sui ferri (p.es. cardigan) può sostituire i ferri circolari con quelli dritti e seguire le istruzioni senza modifiche. Alla seguente pagina, trova indicazioni su come adattare ai ferri dritti un modello che prevede l’uso dei ferri circolari. Buon lavoro!

There are different methods to cast on. In this DROPS video we show one of the most common methods that gives a firm but still elastic edge. It’s called the continental method.
