How to cast on with a circle = magic loop

In this DROPS video we show how to cast on with a circle without getting a hole in the middle.

Hei Sanna. Det skal ikke være noe feil med videoen, har prøvd både å spille av fra nettsiden og fra youtube. Prøvde også fra en Iphone, ingen problemer. Om du har / har hatt dårlig dekning kan det ha en betydning. mvh DROPS Design

Dear Mrs Pomp, just distribute the sts onto the double pointed needles / on the circular needle if you work in magic loop, insert a marker at beg of round and start to work following pattern. Happy knitting!

In this DROPS video, we show you how to work each front piece with diagonal shoulders and short rows, the piece is worked bottom up. Then we show how to increase stitches for the neckline and join the shoulders for the back piece, then continue working top down. An I-cord band is worked on each side. We have already worked one section of the front piece and decreased stitches for the neckline. The video shows how we work 6 short rows (German short rows) on the right front piece, creating a diagonal shoulder. Then we show how to increase 1 stitch 3 times towards the neckline, which is now the back piece. Then we show the same for the left shoulder and finally cast on 12 stitches between the shoulders before the shoulders are knitted together. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. This technique is used among other things in pattern DROPS 255-9, Driftwood Vest, with a different stitch count, number of short rows and cast-on stitches. In this DROPS video we show how you can cast on with two circular needles. We sometimes recommend this in our patterns to prevent the cast on edge being too tight. When you have cast on the required number of stitches, you pull out one circular needle and start to knit. In this video, we cast on with needle 7 and 8, and it is needle 8 that we pull out. In this DROPS video we show how to start a sock with a flounce, like the “Dainty Duo” socks in DROPS 229-19. We cast on with 2 strands, but continue with 1 strand.
