How to crochet puff stitches back and forth after charts

In this DROPS video we show how to work puff stitches back and forth after charts, this technique are used in the baby blanket “Big Dreams” in DROPS Baby 36-3. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

In the second row shown in the video (at approx 04:50), the pattern states 'skip 1 puff-stitch + 1 chain stitch, work 1 treble crochet in next treble crochet'. It looks in the video like a puff stitch is missed but then a treble crochet is worked into the chain stitch instead of missing the chain stitch and working into the next treble crochet. Please advise on this. Thanks.

DROPS Design :

Dear Roro, crochet 1 treble crochet in the treble crochet from previous row, 1 chain stitch, then crochet 1 puff stitch in the skipped chain stitch (before the treble crochet from previous row). Happy crocheting!

There are several ways to crochet puff stitches, in this DROPS video we show how to crochet a row of puff stitches without chain stitch on the "top" of the puff stitch and with 3 double crochets between each puff. On next row, work 1 treble crochet in each stitch. Start each row with 3 chain stitch (= treble crochet). We have already worked a chain stitch row and show how to crochet the first puff stitch on the 4th chain stitch from the hook like this: *Make 1 yarn over, insert hook through chain stitch, make 1 yarn over and pull through chain stitch, pull both yarn overs the same length (to avoid small and dense puff stitches it is important to pull the yarn overs long,) *, work from *-* 5 times in total, make a yarn over and pull yarn through all loops on hook. Work 1 treble crochet in each off the 3 next stitches. Repeat the puff stitch and the 3 treble crochets the entire row and finish the row with a treble crochet in the last stitch, turn and start next row. Crochet 3 chain stitches (= 1 treble crochet). Crochet 1 treble crochet in each of the stitch all the row out. Repeat these 2 rows in the height. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

We have already crocheted a band of 32 chain stitches (multiples by 4). Form a ring with 1 sl st in first chain stitch. . Repeat round 2 to the desired length. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. The little doll's hat is crocheted with DROPS Merino Extra Fine, started with 32 chain stitches on hook 3,5 mm (Circumference: 22 cm) and in the last three rounds the puff hearts are crocheted less (repeat only 3 times from *-*). The pom pom is made in DROPS Kid-Silk.
