Dear Mrs Cleveland, to shape the armhole, you will have to skip some sts and replace them by chains, you create then a hole that will be the armholes. On next round, continue pattern as before crocheting in the chains on each side and in the sts around. Happy crocheting!

The pattern for the Around the world pattern is very confusing when it comes to the armholes. I have read the comments you left the others and I still do not understand. I will keep trying to figure this out where I am attaching the chain..
