How to knit a Moebius (Möbius) ring
Use a long circular needle - at least 32 inch. Cast on around double needle points. Number of sts cast on divided by gauge will give finished diameter. Pull out one needle and move sts to needle with no working yarn.
With other side of needle pick up sts in each long loop under each stitch all around. (Since not picking up in the first st you will end up with an odd total number of sts).
The needles should now be on the outside of the cable and the cable is twisted one time on the middle. Join and start knitting in the round. First time you get to the starting tail you have worked all sts cast on on needle and now you will make first round on the sts picked up and first time you work these you knit in the back loop. Following rounds will be worked in front loop as normally.
If you keep knitting in the round half your work will be in stockinette and half in reversed stockinette. Since you have an odd number of sts you could K1,P1 all around and your moebius will be all in seed sts.

Danke für das gute Video. Ich wollte eigentlich einen normalen Loop stricken, habe aber aus Versehen eine Drehung auf dem Seil gehabt und stricke nun anscheinend einen Möbius! Dieser sollte ein Bündchen haben (2 re, 2 li), dann glatt Rechts gestrickt werden. Das Bündchen ist bereits fertig, aber ich verstehe nun erst von ihrem Video, dass ich ja anscheinend aus der Mitte nach oben und unten stricke, sodass es gar kein Bündchen werden kann. Haben Sie eine Idee, was ich tun könnte? Danke!

Bonjour Mme Jaton, montez bien vos mailles avec la méthode continentale pour pouvoir bien les relever comme à partir du time code 1:06, puis tricotez simplement comme indiqué dans votre modèle (time code 2:46) en mettant un marqueur avant de tricoter la 1ère maille pour bien pouvoir repérer le début des tours. Bonjour Mari, vérifiez votre nombre de mailles, à la transition entre votre moitié point de riz et votre moitié côtes 1/1 vous auriez dû passer la 2ème moitié au point de riz, autrement dit, en tricotant ces mailles non pas comme elle se présentent (= côtes) mais au point de riz. Bon tricot!

Hola Gabriela, sí, está es la única manera de trabajarlo. Puedes probar a trabajar con agujas de mayor tamaño si no consigues que esté lo suficientemente flojo.

Huhu Susifuchs, hier redet keiner, weil das hier eine internationale Seite (garnstudio.COM) für weit über 10 Sprachen ist. Da müssten dann für jede Sprache ein Video angelegt werden... Aber ich finde die Vidos bei DROPS immer sehr, sehr anschaulich... hat mir immer geholfen. Viel Spaß noch beim Sticken ;-)
