GARTER STITCH (back and forth):
1 ridge = knit 2 rows.

Insert 1 marker in the middle stitch on round.
ROW 1 (= wrong side): Knit all stitches.
ROW 2 (= right side): Knit until 1 stitch remains before marker, slip 2 stitches as if to knit together, knit 1, pass the 2 slipped stitches over stitch worked, knit the rest of row.
Repeat 1st and 2nd row - decrease 2 stitches in the middle of square every other row (i.e. every row from right side) until 1 stitch remains on needle. Cut the yarn and pull it through stitch.

Cast on + 3 rows dark blue, 4 rows off white, continue with Christmas red until finished measurements.

Cast on + 7 rows yellow, continue with light blue until finished measurements.

Seating pad consists of 4 squares that are sewn tog at the end. 1 square measures approx. 22 cm in width and 22 cm vertically.

Work piece back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 45 stitches on circular needle size 9 mm with COLOUR COMBINATION-1 or COLOUR COMBINATION-2.
Work DOMINO SQUARE - see explanation above, according to colours in the chosen colour combination. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION
Work 3 more squares.

Place the 4 squares together so that cast on edge on the 4 squares form a cross. Sew 2 and 2 sides together edge to edge.

Place the seat pad in the washing machine with a detergent without enzymes and optical bleach. Wash at 40 degrees with normal spin but no pre-wash. Then place the seat pad flat and shape it to the correct size while it is still wet. At subsequent wash, wash the seat pad at regular wool programme.
