MAGIC CIRCLE:
To avoid hole in the middle beg with this technique:
Hold yarn end in the left hand and make a loop around left index finger (from left to right). Hold the loop with left thumb and index finger. * Insert hook through loop, get the yarn from ball, pull yarn through loop, make 1 YO on hook and pull YO through st on hook = 1 dc *, repeat from *-* until there are 6 dc in loop, finish with 1 sl st in 2nd dc = 5 dc. Continue as explained in pattern – AT THE SAME TIME pull yarn end so that loop is tighten tog and the hole disappears.

CROCHET INFO:
At beg every round work 1 ch (does not replace first dc), end round with 1 sl st in first dc.

2 DC TOG:
Work 2 dc into 1 dc as follows: Insert hook in first/next st and pull yarn through, insert hook in next st and pull yarn through, make a YO and pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook.
----------------------------------------------------------

HEART:
Work 1 HEART on hook size 4.5 mm with Nepal. Work 2 hearts with coral, 2 hearts with deep red and 1 heart with off white. Fill the heart with some cotton wool along the way.

HEART:
Worked in the round, top down. First work 2 balls, then work in the round of the 2 balls.

Ball:
ROUND 1: Start with a MAGIC CIRCLE - see explanation above.
ROUND 2: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 2 dc in every dc = 10 dc.
ROUND 3-4: Work 1 dc in every dc. Fasten off - leave some yarn from last round, this is used for assembly later. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
Work another ball the same way but without cutting the yarn. Fasten the yarn from the beg of both balls. Now join the 2 balls by working 1 sl st in first dc on 1st ball.
Then work in the round over the 10 dc from each ball as follows:
ROUND 5: Work 1 dc in every dc = 20 dc.
ROUND 6: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 3 dc, work 2 DC TOG - read explanation above *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 16 dc.
ROUND 7: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 8: Work * 1 dc in each of the first/next 2 dc, work 2 dc tog *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 12 dc.
ROUND 9: Work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 10: Work * 1 dc in first/next dc, work 2 dc tog *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 8 dc.
ROUND 11: Work dc tog 2 by 2 the entire round = 4 dc. Cut the yarn and baste a couple of stitches up and down through the last dc, fasten off.

ASSEMBLY HEART:
Use yarn from first ball and sew the hole between the balls shut. Fasten the strand.
