Gauge: 14 sts x 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm on larger needles in stockinette st.

Rib: * K 3, P 3 *, repeat from * - *.

Knitting tip: Passion has a tendency to twist when knitting. For best results, untwist the yarn as you go along.

Back: Cast on 83-89-95-101 sts on larger needles. Change to smaller needles and knit rib for 2 cm with 1 edge st in garter st at each side - start and end the rib with P 3 after the edge st for all sizes. Change to larger needles and stockinette st, decreasing 3 sts evenly distributed on the first row = 80-86-92-98 sts. When the piece measures 5 cm inc 1 st at each side every 8-9-10-12 cm a total of 3-3-3-2 times = 86-92-98-102 sts. When the piece measures 30-31-32-33 cm bind off 2 sts at each side for armhole = 82-88-94-98 sts. When the piece measures 46-48-50-52 cm bind off the center 12-12-14-14 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 34-37-39-41 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 48-50-52-54 cm.

Left front: Cast on 35-35-41-41 sts on larger needles. Change to smaller needles and knit rib for 2 cm as follows from side edge (seen from the right side): K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * K 3, P 3 *, repeat from * - * and end with K 3 and K 1 (edge st knit in garter st) at the center front. Change to larger needles and stockinette st. On the first row:
Size S: dec 2 sts evenly spaced
Size M: inc 1 st
Size L: dec 3 sts evenly spaced
Size XL: do not inc or dec sts
= 33-36-38-41 sts. When the piece measures 5 cm inc 1 st at the side edge every 8-9-10-12 cm a total of 3-3-3-2 times = 36-39-41-43 sts. When the piece measures 30-31-32-33 cm bind off 2 sts at the side for armhole = 34-37-39-41 sts and at the same time put a marker at the center front edge to mark collar placement. Continue with stockinette st, bind off when the piece measures 48-50-52-54 cm.

Right front: Cast on and knit the same as the left, reversing all shaping.

Sleeve: Cast on 32-32-38-38 sts on larger needles. Change to smaller needles and knit rib with 1 edge st at each side for 12 cm. Change to larger needles and stockinette st. At the same time when the piece measures 13-13-14-14 cm inc 1 st at each side every 3-2.5-2.5-2.5 cm a total of 10-11-10-11 times = 52-54-58-60 sts. When sleeve measures 43-42-41-40 cm bind off 5 sts at each side every other row until the piece measures 45-44-43-42 cm. Bind off the remaining sts.

Assembly: sew shoulder seams.
Button band + collar: Pick up on smaller circular needles from center back and along left front as follows: 38 sts to the marker and then 51-51-57-57 sts from the marker and along front edge = 89-89-95-95 sts.
Establish rib as follows beginning at lower front edge (wrong side row): K 3, * P 3, K 3 *, repeat from * * and finish with P 2 at center back. There should be K 3 above and P 3 under the marker (seen from the right side). When band measures 5 cm inc all P 3 to P 4 over the 38 sts from the marker to the center back (do not inc in the 51-51-57-57 sts from the marker to bottom edge) = 95-95-101-101 sts. Bind off in pattern when band measures approx. 12 cm. Repeat along right front. Sew the collar together at center back.
Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance.

GILLIAN FRY 12.11.2015 - 12:11:

Thinking of making Drops 76-17, my bust measures 42 inches. Which size would you recommend?

DROPS Design 12.11.2015 kl. 14:54:

Dear Mrs Fry, you will find at the bottom of the pattern a measurement chart with all finished measurements in cm (convert here into inch) taken flat from side to side - compare these to a similar garment you have and like the shape to find out the matching size. Read more about this here. Happy knitting!
