GARTER ST (in the round on circular needle):
* K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*.
Dec as follows at 1st and 3rd marker: work until marker, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso.
Dec as follows at 2nd and 4th marker: work until 2 sts remain before marker, K 2 tog.

Worked in the round on circular needle, bottom up from mid back. Cast on 120-126-136-146-160-176 sts on circular needle size 6 mm and work in GARTER ST – see explanation above. When piece measures 4 cm, switch to circular needle size 7 mm and work in stocking st.
Continue in stocking st until piece measures 17-18-19-20-21-22 cm, insert 4 markers in piece as follows: 1st marker after the 15th-15th-17th-17th-20th-22nd st, 2nd marker after the 45th-48th-51st-56th-60th-66th st, 3rd marker after the 75th-78th-85th-90th-100th-110th st and 4th marker after the 105th-111th-119th-129th-140th-154th st.
On next round, dec 1 st at every marker – Read DECREASE TIP, 4 sts dec. Repeat dec every 4 rounds a total of 6-6-7-7-7-8 times = 96-102-108-118-132-144 sts.
When piece measures 31-33-35-36-38-40 cm, switch to circular needle size 6 mm while AT THE SAME TIME dec 12-14-10-10-10-12 sts evenly = 84-88-98-108-122-132 sts. Then work rib K 1/P 1.
Continue with rib until piece measures 40-42-44-46-48-50 cm.
Loosely cast off with K over K and P over P.

Gail 29.03.2019 - 23:39:

I would like to make a size S but I would like to make it longer. Where would I add length?

DROPS Design 01.04.2019 kl. 11:49:

Dear Gail, we are unfortunately not able to adjust every pattern to every single request, but I guess you should here work longer before starting to decrease. For any individual assistance please contact the store where you bought the yarn, even per mail or telephone. Happy knitting!

Lorraine Bouchard 11.03.2019 - 19:37:

Gwen Cheng 28.07.2017 - 13:04:

I followed your clarification per Ayanna. This resulted in 4 panels 2 of which are narrower by 4 stitches. Is this because of front and back?

DROPS Design 28.07.2017 kl. 14:16:

Dear Mrs Cheng, the panels on the sides will have less and less sts (=2 sts dec on each dec round in each of these panels) and the panels on front and back piece will keep same number of sts. Happy knitting!

Tamara 17.01.2017 - 08:56:

Hello As an alternative to Drops Eskimo has anyone tried taking 2 skeins of a thinner yarn? Which yarn would be your recommendation to do so? Thanks! Tamara

DROPS Design 17.01.2017 kl. 09:39:

Dear Tamara, 1 yarn group E = 2 yarn group C, read more here. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

Ayanna 17.02.2015 - 03:13:

I'm unsure of what "work until marker" means. I think I'm supposed slip the marker then sl, k, psso given the directions for the 2nd and 4th markers but I'm not sure.

DROPS Design 17.02.2015 kl. 14:06:

Dear Ayanna, you are correct, work to 1st and 3rd marker, slip marker and dec with sl, k, psso (dec is done here after markers) and then work until 2 sts remain before 2nd and 4th marker, K2 tog, and slip marker (dec is done here before markers). Happy knitting!
