BOTTLE HOLDER:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 48 sts on double pointed needles size 8 mm with Eskimo and knit in the round in stocking sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 35 cm continue next round as follows: K8, cast off the next 8 sts, K16 and then place these sts on a stitch holder, cast off the next 8 sts, K the last 8 sts. Insert a marker – NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE!

HANDLE:
Continue knitting the handle over the 16 sts on the needles. Work stocking sts back and forth while AT THE SAME TIME dec in each side as follows: * dec 1 st at beg of the next 2 rows, work 2 rows without dec *, repeat from *-* until there are 8 sts left. Continue stocking sts back and forth until the handle measures 27 cm from the marker (i.e. where the handle started). Put the sts on a stitch holder.

Put the 16 sts that are on the holder on the opposite side back on needle and knit a similar handle.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew the handle tog at the top.
Lay the bottle holder flat. Sew opening in the bottom edge to edge, sew in front loops of sts.

FELTING:
Place a small plastic (sandwich) bag inside the bottle cooler – secure with a safety pin. Place the piece in the washing machine with a detergent without enzymes and optical bleach. Wash at 40 degrees with normal spin but no pre-wash. After wash, place the bottle cooler on a bottle to shape the cooler while it is still wet.

Fordi ellers tover arbeidet sammen.

Sissel 14.11.2011 - 22:01:
