Size: S/M - L/XL - XXL/XXXL
Materials: DROPS KID-SILK from Garnstudio
75-100-125 g colour no 01, off-white

Silk ribbon: 250 cm off-white, width 10 mm

DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (80 cm) size 5 mm - or size needed to get 19 sts x 25 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (80 cm) size 3.5 mm – for garter st.

Pattern instructions

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows.

CAPE:
Worked back and forth on circular needle from the top down.
Cast on 111-125-139 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with Kid-Silk. Work 8 rows GARTER ST – see above (first row = RS).
Work next row as follows (from RS): 3 garter sts (= front band), K3, K2 in next st, * K6, K2 in next st *, repeat from *-* until 6 sts remain, K3 and finish with 3 garter sts on front band = 126-142-158 sts.
Work 8 rows garter st, change to circular needle size 5 mm and continue as follows (from RS): 3 garter sts, K2 in each st across the row until 3 sts remain, work these in garter st = 246-278-310 sts. Work 9 rows stocking st with 3 garter sts each side.

Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and work next row as follows (from RS): 3 garter sts, * K2 tog, K1, K2 tog, K2 tog, K1 *, repeat from *-* until 3 sts remain, work these in garter st = 156-176-196 sts.
Work 6 rows garter st, then K 1 row from WS.

Change to circular needle size 5 mm and work next row as follows from RS: 3 garter sts, K2 in each st across the row until 3 sts remain, work these in garter st = 306-346-386 sts. Work 9 rows stocking st with 3 garter sts each side.

Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and work next row as follows (from RS): 3 garter sts, * K2 tog, K2 tog, K1 *, repeat from *-* until 3 sts remain, work these in garter st = 186-210-234 sts.
Work 6 rows garter st, then K 1 row from WS.

Change to circular needle size 5 mm and work next row as follows from RS: 3 garter sts, K2 in each st across the row until 3 sts remain, work these in garter st = 366-414-462 sts. Work 9 rows stocking st in with 3 garter sts each side.

Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and work next row as follows (from RS): 3 garter sts, K 0-1-3, * K2 tog, K2 tog, K2 tog, K2 tog, K1 *, repeat from *-* until 3-5-6 sts remain, work these as follows: K 0-2-3 and 3 garter sts = 206-234-262 sts.
Work 6 rows garter st, then K 1 row from WS.

Change to circular needle size 5 mm and work next row as follows from RS: 3 garter sts, K2 in each st across the row until 3 sts remain, work these in garter st = 406-462-518 sts.
Work stocking st with 3 garter sts each side until piece measures a total of 32-36-40 cm.

Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm, work 6 rows garter st and cast off LOOSELY. Piece measures approx 34-38-42 cm.

Divide silk ribbon in 2 and place them double. Thread both ribbons through the 2 bottom garter st rows at the top of cape with approx 4-5 sts between each time the ribbon is threaded through.

Dear Toni, the pattern is given in 3 sizes, so that you will K 0 st in first size, 1 st in 2nd size and 3 sts in larger size. Happy knitting!

Lorqu' il reste 306 mailles il ne faut pas tricoter en jersey mais au point mousse les 6 rangs suivant

Bonjour Dominique, quand on a 306 m après avoir augmenté, on tricote 9 rangs jersey avec 3 m point mousse de chaque côté. Bon tricot!

Ein wunderbares Modell. Deshalb habe ich es mir sofort abgeschrieben um es zu stricken. In den letzten Reihen verstehe ich aber zwei Dinge nicht: Zu Rundnadel Nr. 3,5 wechseln ...(hier wechseln wir) = 206 M. Danach 1 R. re. von der Rückseite = 406-462-518 M.(wie werden aus 206 M = 406 M ?)Danach zu Rundnadel Nr. 3,5 wechseln (hier wieder zu Nadel 3,5 wechseln ?) Vielleicht habe ich im Eifer etwas nicht richtig interpretiert? Danke für die Hilfe und alles Gute.
