Bag: The bag is worked round from the bottom upwards without turning the piece.

Crochet 3 ch on hook 3 mm with brown, form them in a ring with 1 sl st.
1st round: 1 ch + 4 dc in the ring, 1 ch.
2nd round: 2 dc in each st from previous round = 8 dc – insert 1 marker thread at the start of the round.
3rd round: * 1 dc in first st, 2 dc in next st *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 12 dc.
4th round: * 1 dc in each of the first 2 sts, 2 dc in the next st *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 16 dc.
5th round: * 1 dc in each of the first 3 sts, 2 dc in the next st *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 20 dc.
6the round: * 1 dc in each of the first 4 sts, 2 dc in the next st *, repeat from *-* to end of round = 24 dc.

Continue to inc 4 dc per round, in other words there will be 1 extra dc in between each time a double st is worked (i.e. 2 dc in 1 st), until the piece measures 19 cm from the middle.

Work the next round as follows: 1 dc, * 3 ch, skip 2 dc and crochet 1 dc in the 3rd dc * repeat from *-* the whole round – when the last dc is worked and there are 3 ch remaining before the start of the next round, work 3 ch which are pulled at an angle up to the next round, and fasten with 1 dc in the first ch loop from the previous round. Continue to work round using this pattern for 18 cm.

The next round is worked as follows: 3 dc in each ch loop. Continue to work round with dc for 5 cm.
Now the shoulder strap is worked as follows: Work dc across approx. 10 cm in one side. Turn the piece and work dc back, but the last st in each row is not worked (i.e. dec 1 dc per row until the strap width = approx. 5.5 cm). Continue to work dc across all the sts until the shoulder strap = approx. 55 cm in length (this is half of the strap). Work an equivalent strap in the other side of the bag. Sew the shoulder straps together at the top.

Grazie!

Buon lavoro!

Can I ask for a translation in Polish

Michelle 04.07.2014 - 20:43:

I'm stuck again. Could you explain how to do the part where you pull diagonally up to next row and fasten with 1 sc in the first ch st bow from previous row. Thanks.

DROPS Design 05.07.2014 kl. 11:30:

Dear Michelle, at the end of round, do not join with a sl st in 1st st from beg of round, but work last ch-loop with 3 ch and 1 sc in the 1st ch-loops at beg of round (2nd round starts now). Happy crocheting!

Michelle 01.07.2014 - 16:32:

When the pattern says "Continue in this manner, increasing 4 sts each row (add 1 sc between each inc on successive rows)." Does that mean, just add one sc at the end of each row? I see you explained it once, but I still don't understand.

DROPS Design 01.07.2014 kl. 18:51:

Dear Michelle, it means to continue the inc as before, working 1 more st between 2 inc, ie on row 7 work *1 sc in each of the first 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, then row 8 work *1 sc in each of the first 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, and so on. Happy crocheting!

Michelle 30.06.2014 - 18:00:

How many skeins of yarn does this bag require?

DROPS Design 30.06.2014 kl. 18:49:

Dear Michelle, for this bag, you need 250 g DROPS Bomull-Lin, ie 250/50g = 5 balls. Happy crocheting!

FERON Nathalie 19.05.2013 - 19:31:

140 € !!! Error, I suppose !

Nogmaals dank!
