Knitting gauge: 14sts x 16 rows in M.3 on needles size 6 mm / US 10 = 10x10cm.

Rib: *K2, P2*

Short version: Decrease all measurements on body by 9 (10) cm. Yarn requirement is decreased by 50 g.

M.3: *5 rows in stockinette st, 1 row reverse stockinette st*. Repeat from * - *.

Pattern: See diagram (1 diagram = 1 repeat).
Pattern is read from right to left, and is seen from RS.
The diagram shows RS rows only.
WS: Purl all sts.

Front:
Cast on 84 (88) sts on needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 with heather. Work 6 cm / 2 3/8'' rib. Change to needle size 6 mm / US 10, and at the same time inc 24 (26) sts evenly on first row = 108 (114) sts. Work 1st row as follows: 10 (13) sts in M.3 (see description), M.1, M.2, M.1, 10 (13) sts in M.3. Remember to check your gauge.
When piece measures 65 (68) cm bind off middle 34 (34) sts for neck. Decrease at neck edge on every other row as follows: 2 sts once, 1 st twice.
Continue until piece measures 69 (72) cm. Bind off.

Back: Cast on and work as front until piece measures 67 (70) cm. Bind off middle 38 (38) sts for neck. Next row: dec 2sts each side at neck edge. Continue until piece measures 69 (72) cm. Bind off.

Sleeve: Cast on 36 (40) sts on needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 with heather.
Work 5cm rib. Change to needle size 6 mm / US 10 and at the same time inc 10 (6) sts evenly on first row = 46 (46) sts. Work M1. on middle top of sleeve and M.3 each side.
At the same time inc each side as follows: 1 st 22 (22) times alternatively on every *2nd, 3rd and 3rd row = 90 (90) sts. Work the inc sts in M.3. Continue until piece measures 46 (46) cm. Dec each side on every other row as follows: 5 sts once, 8 sts once.
Bind off. Piece measures approx 49 (49) cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 94 sts around neck on circ needle size 4 mm / US 6 with heather.
Work 12 cm / 4¾'' in rib. Bind off loosely. Sew sleeves to body (arm hole = 30cm).
Sew sleeve and side seams in edge st to avoid seams being too bulky.

I am an intermediate knitter and love this sweater. I find the charts/diagrams small and difficult to read. Is it possible that there is a written pattern? If yes, I would be interested in making this. Thanks

Hi Jeanine Rose, I am afraid we do not have a written explanation for the charts, but there are videos to help and we are also available for shorter explanations if necessary. You can also get advise from the DROPS store where you bought your yarn. Happy knitting!
