PULLOVER:

Gauge: 5 sts x 7 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm

Pattern:
Row 1 (= right side): * K 1, 2 yo on needle *, repeat * - * and finish with K 1.
Row 2 (= wrong side): P, letting yos from previous row drop (= long st).

Knitting tips (for neckband):
All decs are made on right side rows. Dec 1 st inside of the edge st knit in garter st as follows:
After edge st: Slip 1 st as if to knit, K 1, psso.
Before edge st: K 2 tog.

Measuring-tips: Make all length measurements when the garment is held up, otherwise the pullover will be too long when worn.

Front: Cast on 20-22-24-27-29 sts over 2 needles, pull out one needle (so that the cast-on edge will be elastic). Keep the outermost st at each side in garter st and knit 2 rows stockinette st (row 1 = right side), 2 rows Pattern (see instructions above), 2 rows stockinette st and 2 rows Pattern. Continue in stockinette st. When the piece measures 20 cm end side split and cast on 1 new st at each side for seam allowance = 22-24-26-29-31 sts. Then knit stockinette st over all sts.
When the piece measures 35 cm dec 1 st at each side = 20-22-24-27-29 sts. When the piece measures 55 cm inc 1 st at each side = 22-24-26-29-31 sts. When the piece measures 64-65-66-67-68 cm bind off 2-2-3-4-4 sts at each side for armhole = 18-20-20-21-23 sts. When the piece measures 66-68-70-72-74 cm divide the piece at center front and put half the sts on a st holder. Note: for sizes L + XL bind off the center st and then put half the sts on st holder.
1st side: = 9-10-10-10-11 sts. Keep the neck edge st in garter st and dec 1 st at neck edge every other row 3 times – see knitting tips above = 6-7-7-7-8 sts remain on shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 81-83-85-87-89 cm.
2nd side: Put sts from st holder back on needles and knit the same as the 1st side. Begin the 1st row from center front – start by picking up 1 st in the 1st st on the other side (for Sizes XS + S + M) or by picking up 1 st in the bound-off st (for size L + XL) and K tog with the 1st st on needle (to reinforce lower edge of V-neck).

Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front, but dec 1 st at each side when the piece measures 25 cm and inc 1 st at each side when the piece measures 45 cm. Bind off for armhole as on front. When the piece measures 77-79-81-83-85 cm knit 1 right side row but P over the center 6-6-6-7-7 sts, and then bind off the center 4-4-4-5-5 sts for the neck on the next row. Keep the edge st at each neck edge in garter st, and on the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge – see knitting tips = 6-7-7-7-8 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off loosely, the piece measures approx. 81-83-85-87-89 cm.

Sleeve: Pick up sts along armhole and knit the sleeves down to cuff. Loosely pick up 17-18-19-20-21 sts along armhole – see Fig.1 (do not pick up sts in the 2-2-3-4-4 sts bound off at each side for armhole on Body). Knit Pattern – see instructions above.
When the piece measures approx. 4-4-6-8-8 cm put a marker at each side (to mark where sleeve seams end) – measure the work from here.
When the piece measures 4-3-2-3-2 cm dec 1 st at one side. When the piece measures 14-13-12-12-11 cm dec 1 st at the other side. Repeat dec 1 time at each side with 10-10-10-9-9 cm between decs = 13-14-15-16-17 sts. When the sleeve measures 52-51-50-48-47 cm from markers, bind off. So that the bound-off edge will not be too tight, it is best to bind off on Row 2 of the Pattern – instead of letting the yos drop, K and bind off the yos as well as the sts.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams.
Sew side seams using edge sts as seam allowance, leaving side split open at lower edge. Sew the sleeve up to the markers and sew sleeves to Body at underarm.

Row 2 (= wrong side): P, letting the yos from previous row drop (= long st).
Row 3 (= right side): knit
Row 4 (= wrong side): purl

Measuring-tips: Measure the work when lying flat.
