Gauge: 8 sts x 11 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.

Decreasing tips (for neckband):
All decs are made on right side rows. Dec 1 st inside 2 edge sts knit in garter st as follows:
After 2 edge sts: Slip 1 st as if to knit, K 1, psso.
Before 2 edge sts: K 2 tog.

Measuring-tips: On account of the weight and stretchiness of the garment, make all measurements when the piece is held up rather than lying flat – otherwise the garment will be too long when worn.

Front: Loosely cast on 28-31-34-41-46 sts and knit stockinette st. When the piece measures 9-9-9-12-12 cm inc 1 st at each side every 9-9-9-12-12 cm a total of 3-3-3-2-2 times = 34-37-40-45-50 sts. When the piece measures 34-35-36-37-38 cm – see Measuring-tips above – bind off 3-4-5-7-9 sts at each side for armhole = 28-29-30-31-32 sts.
When the piece measures 40-42-42-44-46 cm knit 2 rows garter st over the center 4-5-4-5-4 sts, and then divide the piece at center front and put half the sts on a st holder (in sizes M + XL bind off the center st on the 2nd garter st row and then put half the sts on a st holder).
1st side: = 14-14-15-15-16 sts. Dec 1 st at the neck edge every other row 5-5-5-5-6 times – see decreasing tips above = 9-9-10-10-10 sts remain on shoulder. Continue, keeping 2 sts in garter st at the neck edge and bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm.
2nd side: Put sts from st holder back on needles and knit the same as the 1st side – knit the 1st row from center front – start by picking up 1 st in the first st on the other side (for sizes S + L +XXL) or start by picking up 1 st in the bound off center st (for sizes M + XL) and K tog with the 1st st on left side (this reinforces the lower edge of V-neck).

Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armholes as on front. When the piece measures 49-51-53-55-57 cm knit 2 rows garter st over the center 12-13-12-13-14 sts, and then bind off the center 8-9-8-9-10 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge – see decreasing tips above = 9-9-10-10-10 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm.

Sleeve: Loosely cast on 21-22-23-23-24 sts and knit stockinette st. When the piece measures 14 cm inc 1 st at each side every 12-9-8.5-6.5-6 cm a total of 4-5-5-6-6 times = 29-32-33-35-36 sts. When sleeve measures 53-52-51-49-47 cm put a marker at each side (this marks where sleeves will be sewn to Body). When the piece measures 55-55-55-56-56 cm bind off 5 sts at each side for sleeve cap, and on the next row bind off the remaining sts, the piece measures approx. 57-57-57-58-58 cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams.
Sew side seams using edge sts as seam allowance. Sew the sleeve seam up to the marker using edge sts as seam allowance. Sew in sleeves (the marker on sleeves should match up with the side seam on Body).
