Hello again, thank you for alt. yarns. My other question is that: for size M I need to work 73dc (from 74ch) & after 8cm, the marker goes to central st - does that mean I'm left with 36st on each side & not 37 as stated on the pattern? I'm using the central st to increase every 2nd row. Thanks in advance for clarifying.

Dear Mrs Kavanagh, pattern will be reworded, the marker should be placed in the middle stitch, so that you have 36 sts, 1 st with the marker and 36 sts. Happy crocheting!

Hi, could you please tell me what yarns I can replace Camelia & Silke Tweed with, as they look discontinued (wasn't able to find alternatives...)? Thank you

What do you mean by not dec on the outermost stitch at each side
04.08.2018 - 23:48DROPS Design answered:
Dear Brend, the pattern says that fom the point the piece measures approx. 23-23-25 cm there is a decrease on both sides. But for this decrease, you should simply leave out, not crochet the last stitch on each row. I hope this helps. Happy Crafting!

Crochet skirt with stripes in DROPS Karisma. Size: S – M – L
DROPS 67-27 |
|
PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS Stripes: 2 rows chocolate brown Karisma, 2 rows beige Camelia, 2 rows rust Silke-Tweed, 1 row beige Camelia, 1 row rust Silke-Tweed, 1 row chocolate brown Karisma, 2 rows off white Karisma, 4 rows chocolate brown Karisma. --------------------------------------------------------------- Skirt: Front and back pieces are worked separately from the waist down - and sewn together to finish. There is a split with buttons on one side. Front: Crochet 66-74-80 chain stitches loosely with hook size 4 mm and chocolate brown Karisma. Turn piece and work 65-73-79 double crochets back. Continue by working double crochets over all stitches until piece measures 8-8-8 cm. Remember the crochet tension! Insert 1 marker thread in the middle stitch, i.e. in the 33rd-37th-40th stitch from side. Continue to work double crochets in stripes downwards - see description above - at the same time as you increase at front by working 3 stitches in mid stitch every 2nd row – make sure the mid stitch does not move! When there are 99-107-117 stitches on row (piece measures approx. 23-23-25 cm) continue to increase every 2nd row - but at the same time decrease 1 stitch in each side every time you increase - decrease by not working the outermost stitch in each side. Cut strand when piece measures approx. 64-64-72 cm (measured mid front, from waist down) - adjust after 4 rows of chocolate brown Karisma. Back piece: Worked as front piece. Button opening: Sew side seams in outermost stitch, but do not sew the top 8 cm in left side. Crochet along the split on the back piece with chocolate brown Karisma approx. 14 double crochets. Work 3 rows of double crochets over these stitches. Cut strand. Work button loops along side of split on front piece with chocolate brown Karisma as follows: Work 2 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, fasten with 1 double crochet 1 cm further down, * work 4 double crochets over the next 2 cm, 3 chain stitches, fasten with 1 double crochet 1 cm further down *, repeat from *-* a total of 2 times, finish with 2 double crochets. Sew on buttons. |
