How to read a schematic drawing

You will find the schematic drawing for each garment below the patterns. It will have all the measurement for each size we have in this pattern. If you follow the pattern and keep the tension/gauge the garment will have the same size as the schematic drawing.

If you think it is hard to decide what size to make, if can be a good idea to measure a sweater you have and like the size of. Then you can pick the size by looking at the schematic drawing and find the correct size there.

If your sweater is approx 60 cm/23½" in length, the chest circumference is 96 cm/37 3/4" and the hip circumference is 108 cm. Then this will be equivalent to size L in this schematic drawing.

Circumference at the bottom = 54 cm/21 1/4" x 2 = 108 cm/42½" all the way round!

Chest circumference = 48 cm/19" x 2 = 96 cm/37 3/4" all the way around the chest!

Liebe Carola, die gestrichte Linie ist für die Höhe der Schulter, wenn man von oben nach unten strickt, sind einpaar Maschen für die Schulter damit gezählt, hier sind es 4 cm hoch - diese 4 cm kommen zusätzlich zu den anderen Maßen (Passe bzw gesamte Länge). Viel Spaß beim stricken!

Bonjour Mme Brochet, sans numéro spécifique, je peux déjà vous indiquer cette vidéo qui montre comment coudre une manche le long de l'emmanchure, mais aussi celle-ci qui montre également comment assembler le haut de la manche aux mailles rabattues de l'emmanchure. Bon assemblage!

Bij elk patroon staat aangegeven hoeveel steken je op moet zetten. Dit is heel erg afhankelijk van hoe het patroon in elkaar zit, met welk garendikte je breit en wat de stekenverhouding is. Dus ik kan helaas zo niet zeggen hoeveel steken je op moet zetten.

Bonjour Phi, nos modèles sont généralement tricotés en taille M, toutefois, pour trouver la taille idéale à tricoter, il est recommandé de mesurer un vêtement que vous avez et dont vous aimez la taille (vous ou la personne qui le portera), et de comparer ces mesures à celles du schéma pour trouver ainsi la taille idéale correspondante. Bonjour Ingrid, nos modèles remontent aux années 80, les mesures ont évoluées et sont en outre différentes en fonction des pays; en ce qui concerne l'aisance, c'est un concept avec lequel nous ne travaillons pas, chacun et chacune peut ainsi adapter l'aisance souhaitée en fonction de ses propres mensurations en suivant le schéma des mesures à la fin des explications. D'où l'intérêt de comparer les mesures d'un vêtement similaire à celui que vous souhaitez tricoter, vous pourrez ainsi obtenir la forme voulue. Bon tricot!

Dear Avril, the pattern may be a loose fit, but the measurements in the schematic are the final measurements of the garment. If you worked the smaller size, the chest would probably be too tight. When in doubt, it's always better to work the larger size. This way, you will also ensure that it is a loose fit and not too tight. Happy knitting!

Dear Linda, this will depend on your tension in height (how many rows for the height of sleeve cap), most important is that you cast off the same number of stitches on each side to get the sleeve cap symmetrical and that the sleeve measures 35 cm in the first size (sleeve cap is 5 cm). Bonjour Sylvie, les mesures sont prises ouvrage à plat, autrement dit, vous n'avez pas une encolure de 20 cm x 2 car elle n'est pas plate, c'est un arrondi dont la largeur au niveau des épaules est de 20 cm. Si votre échantillon est juste et votre tension correcte, vous obtiendrez les mesures indiquées et l'effet sur la photo. Bon tricot!

Hej Ingrid. När vi skriver t.ex. 5 rapporter à 8 masker så betyder det att 1 rapport är 8 masker (som du även själv kan se i diagrammet), så det blir då alltså totalt 5x8= 40 masker du ska sticka. Mvh DROPS Design
