How to knit a Torpa knit pattern with 2 colours

In this DROPS video we show you how to knit a pattern called “Torpa-knit” in Norwegian. This pattern is often used for mittens and hats.

We have already knitted a rib and 2 rounds with P. Then we knit like this:

(Round 1-2: P with dark colour. Already shown in the video).
Round 3-6: *K 4 sts with light colour, slip 2 st as if to P*, repeat *-* round out.
Round 7-8: change to dark colour and P all sts.
Round 9-12: Switch to light colour, K 1 st, *slip 2 st as if to P, K 4 sts *repeat * - * round out and finish with K 3 sts.
Repeat row 1.-12. to desired measurement.

Hei, så kult å se at du har laget video om mønster fra der jeg er fra. Stedet heter Torpa, men vi kaller mønsteret Torpe-mønster. Stammer fra Torpevotten som er et gammel tradisjonelt vottemønster fra fjellbygda vår. I alle sammensatte ord med Torpa+ord endres bokstaven a til e. Jeg synes det er viktig å beholde gamle navn på ting 😊

Hoi Dingena. Deze video geeft alleen de techniek door, wij hebben op dit moment geen patronen voor bijvoorbeeld mutsen. Je kan proberen door hulp van een proeflapje het aantal steken te berekenen voor de juiste maat - of kijk op bijvoorbeeld Ravelry of er een geschikt patroon is. Succes
